This Is the best hole in the wall California coast has! The people are the best and the music selection is awesome! The bartenders are sweet and caring with a great deal of personality! The bar itself is full of beautiful antiques and once was an actual wells Fargo stop during the gold rush period. There are still a couple vaults that have never been opened to this day! Their are also stories of ghosts and other mysterious things that have happened in this bar! Don't let it pass you by on your coastal cruise of the West coast it's the last REAL bar on the Northern West coast before leaving Cali! Smith River is a charming town with tons to offer and summer time is so beautiful in this area with all the river and beach activities near you a night cap at the bank is always a pleasure!

MY FAVORITE DIVE BAR WITHIN A 100 MILE RADIUS! Big Rob is a kickass bartender. The atmosphere is fun, the employees are awesome, and the fellow patrons are A BLAST!
Cozy full bar with pool table in Smith River. Good prices comparitively to bars in crescent City or Brookings. Friendly bartender and locals. If your passing through, and need a cold one, this is a great little place to stop in.
The Bank WAS) one of my stops, for the past 5 years. Owner is a good guy,Bartender Mary Belle was great.The regular bar folk were always great too see.My pups luv the bank also.It could be a 5 star bar someday, onces the Rude RedHead Bar manager is history.
I occasionally talk in and out of this bar and have been for the past 30 years. It's always a friendly "family feeling" environment. I always feel welcomed there.
