Kim is really friendly and nice. And I really do hope my experience could’ve been better. I gave one star because I really think Kim is so nice and patient. But I would’ve given a 0 star for my hair result. During our consultation, I talked to Kim about how I don’t want my hair to have any kind of warm tone. And I would like a balayage. Kim showed me the hair results she could’ve gotten me to from the color board so I was expecting that, or if anything, something similar. I have natural dark hair and I wanted an ashy brown/ cool tone kinda color. I understand my hair can’t become as light in one goal.However, my hair turned out to be orangish, which is a warm tone and the kind of brown I absolutely hate. And the balayage is not blended at all in a way, it was all black and “orange brown” with little blending color in between. Which is barely a balayage. I had to go to whole another salon to get my hair fixed and cut because the color was absolutely unacceptable and nothing like what I was expecting. Unfortunately, I had to spend almost $300 including tip, to get a hair color I HATE, and it made me feel so UGLY.
Later Kim, explained to me this is the result she could achieve because my hair is dark. But it would’ve been great if she could at least remind me beforehand that this could happen cuz I mentioned multiple times I don’t want to have any warm tone in my hair. Let along, orange brown…
So if you have dark hair, and you don’t like any warm/ orange tone on your hair, and would like a good blending balayage. This might not be the best place to go. Still, Kim is really warm and friendly, but I HATED my hair :(((((((((
Absolutely LOVE Kim! She always does so good with my hair! Have been going to her for a few years now and she always has me leaving feeling beautiful! Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great stylist and good conversation! 10/10 ❤️
Kim is the only hair stylist that I trust with my hair!! I have been going to her for 2 years and have never had a bad experience . I always get compliments on my hair and she also cuts my son's hair. Her prices are very reasonable and she will make sure you are satisfied every single time
For years my hair was 1 length. Kim cut my hair, and gave me different style. A few weeks ago, i did not feel well and did not "do" my hair before coming to work. (We've all had days like that!). Kim cut my hair so well, i still got compliments even without the curling irons and styling gel!!!
And she worked with me on a cut schedule, because I was getting compliments right up to cut days. She cuts to flatter you.
Kim is awesome!!! She really knows her stuff and I've found my hairstylist for life! I highly recommend Kim at The Art Of Hair.
I just love coming to see Kim, not only to get my hair done by her, but also to be able to sit and talk with her. Kim is such a warm and friendly person who stands by her work. Kim has been doing my hair since I moved here last summer and does an amazing job. I love how she is able to blend my gray hair so that there isn’t that hard demarcation line between coloring. Kim also listens to the type of cut I want and makes suggestions so that it always comes out perfect. I would recommend Kim for anyone looking for a true relaxing experience. Someone you can trust to give you a great cut and coloring. I always leave her chair with a smile on my face.
