When I am at the Mall I always stop at Thai Max and get Mango Chicken and noodles for my husband and white rice with mango chicken for myself. Yesterday I ordered and when I got home we both could not believe that the Mango chicken was mostly bread no chicken and the pieces were so hard I could not really eat. We threw them away. Guess we haveto try a new place. Really never had a problem before obviously something has changed.
I'm a big Chinese/Asian food fan and I've had this twice now. It's a solid place (at least during lunch time) and the food tasted fresh. General and mango chicken were probably the best in the food court. But The fried rice was a little too greasy compared to other fried rice I've had.
The food was ok but they charged me $45! for 2 meals, 2 drinks and 2 eggrolls! when I questioned her she got upset and rolled her eyes at me and my daughter. I didnt want to hold up the line so I just paid and continued with my evening with my family. Came home and when I looked at my receipts, she charged me for 3 dinners and 3 drinks! I am so mad at the fact that she over charged me and got away with it! I will never eat from that place again, so dishonest and the food is just OK!
I am so beyond disgusted at how literally every time I’ve come here they either act like they don’t understand my English for what I’m ordering & literally frfr ALL the employees are rude & the manager doesn’t seem to mind that nor the fact they give out old or undercooked or overcooked rice. Tonight the employee already seemed annoyed as we were walking up, made it difficult to taste a free sample, filled half the box for a full box price, ignored us without speaking the entire time, nooo customer service or care she threw my food in the plastic bag causing the food to tilt in the bag and spill! No they don’t care to help or replace.
I Assume she had one or a few bad experiences with black people & treated us as if WE are All the same! She received kindness eye & verbal communication & a proper for of payment. At least this is how I feel every time I order. Why do I still go here?????????♀️well bc every blue moon I’m at the mall & when I am I crave JUST THEIR MANGO CHICKEN. But I feel like I sell a PEACE In every time I subdue their racism for chicken ????
Needless to say frfr tonight was the last time I buy/eat from Thai Max!
Came here 1 time before closing , ate and hour later had the worst stomach cramps ever , diarrhea and couldn’t stay off toilet . I just thought maybe I was getting sick , I tried it again weeks later during lunch hours because there prices are reasonable and they give you a lot . NOPE same thing . Stomach hurt so bad , diarrhea and throwing up . Never again .
I like the food from this place. Very reasonable price for items, and serving sizes are great. I don’t understand the hate for MALL food but it’s good. People are just too sensitive lol. Anyways totally recommend the orange chicken, vegetables and fried rice. Ask for extra bourbon sauce on the rice. You have a great meal there, thanks Thai Max.
Food tastes great. I've eaten here a few times before and have been mostly satisfied with what I get. However I am now writing this and giving 2 stars because I've contracted food poisoning at this location. Currently very sick, experiencing really bad chills upon many other disgusting symtpoms I'd rather not subject you, the reader, too.
In general it's the mall and the hygiene in that place really isn't fantastic (I'm saying this as someone who works in the mall and has no choice but to eat there due to the fact that there's not really a way for me to bring my own lunch). Don't eat at this mall period. It's disgusting.
Yesterday I ate the Bourbon Chicken, plantains and spring rolls from Thai Max at the Westfield Mall in Brandon. This was some of the worst food I have ever eaten in my life. This food was worse than prison food. How can this restaurant stay in business? The chicken was almost all batter and very little chicken and it tasted pretty worthless. I think that the plantains were probably worse as they either were not ripe when they cooked them or they were overcooked because they were all dried out. The spring roll was tasting like a dead fish. It was very bad to say the least. I would never eat the food from Thai Max again and it should be illegal for them to even insinuate that it is Thai food because real Thai food is 1000% better than this. Dog food would probably be a better name for it. However. I don't think that a dog would eat this food.
