I am very surprised I have not reviewed this place yet. I used to come here constantly while I was a student, and I made a very special point to come here while visiting town again; it's that good. I have had many other Thai foods since leaving Arizona, but I can truthfully say that I think about the food here much more often than any other place.
I almost always get my favorite dish, the Musaman Curry. Hard to go wrong with this one if you like potatoes and peanuts. I confirmed a long time ago that the curry base is vegan, uses coconut milk, and does not contain fish sauce. As expected, it was just as delicious as I remember. I also got a Thai tea, which they can easily make with coconut milk! The service was excellent, and my friends were very happy with their meals, too. I'm happy I can keep coming here when I'm in town; it brings me back to a different period in my life.
Stopped in with my daughter for lunch and omg, this place has amazing, tasting, and authentic Thai food! Fried rice and curry, the best I've ever had! Super fast service and customer service is impeccable! Highly recommend and a must try!
Best Thai food in the valley, definitely on my top 5 list for best overall food in the valley. The curry is addicting. We are always coming back for more. And the serving sizes are huge with plenty of meat! They’ve only gotten bigger lately too, but the price is the same as it has been since 2020/2021. Personally I love their Yellow Curry. My husband likes their Massaman Curry. The staff is so nice and there is never a wait. I also love this place because of their healthy options. Lots of dairy free and gluten free dishes which is important since I have pituitary hypothyroidism. Overall you can’t do better than Thai Basil.
Good restaurant. Always had good food, whenever I went. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is comfortable and cozy. It is not too expensive for the student budget, so can be a nice place to hang out and just sip some Thai ice tea sheltered from the blazing Arizona sun outside! I also love the all-time favorite Pad Thai.
The owner of this restaurant is such a sweetheart. We have been coming to this restaurant since we moved to Tempe. Food was been amazing since the first time we tried it and service is always great. We got to meet the owner and she loves kids and my toddler remembered her. Today we stopped by for dinner and she sent us an appetizer (veggie rolls) which our toddler loved it. Thank you for the great food ☺️

Lunch specials are my favorite. They have the best vegetable soup it is just amazing.
Would definitely recommend the Thai teas as well. We have tried all curries, each one of them is equally good. My favorite is chicken fried rice. The portion is enough for 2 people easily.
Even the soup comes in a huge bowl which is filling for 2 people.

Atmosphere is really cozy and nice. Staff was super sweet and attentive! We got green curry, pad thai, and thai fried rice! We got level 2 spice, which i wish we got level 3 or 4 cause it wasnt as spicy as we were expecting. Everything was super yummy and flavorful. Portions were huge, im happy to take some home for later:)
