Chance was able to replace my rear seal in my very complicated truck and had it back to me the same day. He is very friendly with years of experience. Even though he didn't have the programming to update my shifting module, he was honest and told me about it. Very nice, honest, and reasonable.
Chance has a great service-based attitude and charged me very little to bench test my junk yard transmission before I went through all the work of installing it into my truck. Most shops would rather not hassle with the little service type requests like that and would rather spend their time rebuilding but he clearly wants to earn a customer for life! I would absolutely recommend him to family and friends!
From the mouth of Chance, "I don't make money doing service I make money rebuilding transmission." Then tell people that when they make an appointment to have a service done. I would not let your shop service a go cart.

Short Version:
Our 2004 Honda Accord had transmission problems in 2016. The transmission was replaced with a TranStar transmission by Trans-EX. We got the Premium TranStar Protection guarantee for 3 years. In November of 2017 that transmission went bad again. Trans-EX had gone of business.
I called Texas Transmission to make an appointment and we arranged to drop the Honda off 11/22/17, the day before Thanksgiving.
Over the next few weeks I made several phone calls to Texas Transmission to ascertain the status of our Honda. In spite of Texas Transmission telling me that they would call me back they seldom did. Some time in early January Texas Transmission received a replacement transmission for the Honda. But again calls were not returned and no progress was made on our Honda in spite of assurances that they would get to it soon.
We finally got our Honda back on 1/29/18, more than 2 months after we dropped it off. Texas Transmission also required us to pay the labor and fluids that were supposed to be covered under the guarantee. We had to write a check for $677.94 to get our car back on what was supposed to be guarantee work. And we had to pay labor for a complete transmission replacement instead of just the faulty electronics because Texas Transmission and TranStar were unable to get together on diagnostics.
They got my truck taken care of right away! Dropped off in the afternoon and they had it done by the next morning! Fantastic! Price is right too!
