Best WLM Reviews
The meat was plentiful! It tasted more like rib tips cooked in the oven versus to grill; but it still was good and hot! The staff was friendly and helpful. You can definitely eat off of it for 2 days! Reasonably priced. While i didn't care for the polish sausage, the chicken on it was extremely flavorful! Slight suggestion...get your fries on the side.
Second time patronizing this establishment. I was told my order would take 20 minutes. 39 minutes later I'm still waiting on my order and was told oh we're sorry for the inconvenience we'll give you a free soda. The free soda was nice but they have to work on their timing. The last time the food was okay but waiting almost 40 minutes I'm expecting the food to be exceptionally good. Last time they took 35 minutes for six chicken wings and a large order of fries. I hope they improve things otherwise I can't see myself continuing to pay for poor service.
I’m a little disappointed, for $17 I expected to have more fries at least and there was really little to none. The fries were also all the way under the rib tips. The root tips taste good, but I did pay for extra sauce and on the side, they did not put any on the side at all. I should’ve checked before I left. Customer Service was good but I’m not sure if I’ll go there again.
At first the cashier was a bit annoyed for whatever reason. But as I waited for my order, she began to smile and conversate on a more friendlier level.
I visited this site on Friday of last week. My family really enjoyed the food here so it wasn't my first time. The food is good the wait time is very long. But I have no problem with that because sometimes you have to wait for hot and good food. No problem at all, what I do have a problem with is a MALE that took my order at the window. I ordered a few items as I always do. One of my items was a loaded bake potato. My nephews love it. On the digital menu the loaded potato CLEARLY says $13 dollars. After paying for my items I see on my receipt I was charged $14 dollars for the potato. I brought it to the guy attention at the register. He went back and forward with me saying the potato cost 13.99. After 3 times Me saying the menu has $13.00 NOT $13.99 and certainly NOT $14.00. He decided to come out into the lobby and see for himself what the digital menu say. I WAS RIGHT, IT CLEARLY HAS $13.00 ON IT. Not only did I NOT get an apology. This dude got the remote and changed the menu right in front of me. I said (NICELY) well that's good that you're correcting the price but what are you going to do about my receipt because as you see now I was not charged the right price. This dued looked at me and said, Well it's not my fault that someone put the wrong price on the menu. I said well I understand that but still I was not charged the right price. He then looked at me again and said, so ma'am are you refusing to pay for your food ma'am. (Clumly) I'm looking like WTH is this dued talking about because I already paid for the food. I said what are you talking about refusing to pay for my food??? I already paid I'm just asking, I'm I going to get an apology, a dollar back, a can pop in it's place a pump of cheese on my fyes or something??? He went back behind the counter and ignored me for the next 23 minutes that I waited for my food. And I do want to point out $1.00 don't fase me at all. But being rude and dismissive does. He was so UNPROFESSIONAL and that's enough to say I WON'T be going back there. At the end of the day, I didn't care about the extra dollar I was incorrectly charged. I wasn't,,, but it was how I was treated by this young black male. He may not have thought it was nothing, but it was!!! And I'm sure if he was treated the way he dismissed me, He wouldn't have liked it either. I guess he's use to people cussing and fussing to get their point across but that's not going to happen with me. I don't let anyone take me there... I may not hurt this business alone by not coming back but if he treats everyone who walks through your door the way I was treated. That will very well hurt your business. I can find good food, great customer service and being charged the right price all up and down Halsted St any day of the week.
Been slowly but surely sampling every BBQ joint on the Southside. This place ( from what I could glean from this first time visit anyway) is top notch.
Tips were plentiful without too many junk pcs that other places use to push on people.
There was a generous amount of rub on these!
I ordered with barbecue sauce on the side so I could try the Smoked Meats on their own. They stand out.
The barbecue sauce was Immaculate also.
Love the fresh cut fries! I think they're fresh cut? At any rate, they were noticeably really good. Infact... the best fries of any bbq place on the southside I've been to so far.
This white cracker will be back for sure!
A few of you are going to read my post and swear I work here how im about to brag on them so good. Ok so hear me out, I LOVE RIBS!!!! && I moved to this neighborhood a few months back. I would never see long lines so in my head it wasnt worth the hype, I WAS SO WRONG!!!! This is a hidden gem!!!! Id just finished doing my laundry and got news that a coworker had passed away. When I say the food made me laugh and cry all in one. I had to call the restaraunt personally to thank them for being in business! Somebody else said the rubs were more oven baked than fire grill but baby I love a tender rib they were falling right off the bone and I could definitely taste the grill on it so sock it! &&The sauce? It had all my taste buds out for a celebration!!! ( ok so I gotta be honest about something tho,, my hot link was too good to enjoy!) buut thats just my taste buds ipl just get mild next time!! besides that one lil tiny thing this place gets a 10x10 from me.
Not worth my direct drive from the burbs. Ordered for myself and my son. His Tip n link was ok. Link was deep fried. ( I know what fried ...looks like and taste). Great smokey taste and smell. Cuts were fatty. Honestly I rec'd maybe 6 fries and they were greasy with no sauce. The small video clip of ( Anthony Anderson ) is one of reasons I wanted to try this place and the menu pictures look tasty. I will try them again ..Hopefully it'll be better...
