I wish Maxwell was in our neighborhood. While helping friends in the area, I had to take home food for my family and decided to stop by for their pies. Best decision made. They have gluten free pizza and it tastes awesome! The pizza shop also has tons of space for dine in and a great staff.
I called in for bacon and pineapple pizza and six traditional garlic dill dust wings.
Pizza has one to two pieces of pineapple which is barely calling it a topping. The wings were not full wings but six half wings for $9.99 as in 3 drummies and 3 the middle part. Plus they were over cooked. This was poor performance for a new place trying to make a name. We might give them a second chance but not for the wings.
We did take out so I can’t comment on atmosphere. Service was what you would expect for takeout.
We were upset finding out that Maxwell's is no longer. A favorite was the Mediterranean Wrap which is no longer available as Tavern Pizza. We did enjoy a margherita pizza. We did not get our waters. The restaurant was fairly empty. The pizza was good.
My wife and I came here for the Steelers game. Lots of TV’s, great almosphere, excellent pizza, and solid beer on tap.
First time customer and as a pizza fiend for most of my 37 years, this one left a strong impression that I had to review. I fully understand that like all things pizza (and especially pizza) is a subjective topic.
I got half pepperoni and half bacon so I could only eat one pig today. Maybe I got lucky and had a great cook working, maybe it's just that damn good. Sauce was more along the lines of margharita so thinner but still flavorful. Crust was between thin and regular, crispy on the outside and chewy inside. Will definitely return again and see if this was a one off or if I've got a new winning pizzeria (god save me if the latter cuz y'all 5 miles from work haha)
The food is good, service is great. The staff is very friendly! They have events, and life performances. They have PA skill games, as well as a dart machine and stacker game.
They have a beer cave for cold take out beer, with a good selection! I would recommend the chipotle steak wrap!
I just had my first pizza here (a large Supreme with no black olives) and it was delicious. Lots of very fresh toppings and the crust was excellent (I also loved their sausage). I wasn't aware it had a new owner until my neighbor came home with a pizza and offered me a slice. To be honest I didn't like having to enter a tip when paying for my order, this was a 'to go' order and I walked 3 blocks to pick it up myself, I feel I paid enough already. But I'm definitely going back.
