Over the past few years, I have gotten multiple piercings at Tatu. I got my nose, tongue, conch (twice) pierced here. I have always had a great experience and only feel comfortable coming to Tatu. The last time I got a piercing, I declined the cleaning sheet (I’m used to the routine by now) and I had asked questions about keloids/piercings bumps, and she gave me a paper with tips! They have multiple signs posted with pricing and any additional charges. If you have any questions, they’ll always answer to the best of their abilities!
Walked into the shop and told the lady at the desk that I wanted my nose pierced. She gave me a clipboard with a paper to sign about what they are and are not responsible for regarding piercings.
Brunette with neck tattoo, didn't even speak her name to me, took me to the bench counted to three and pierced my nostril. Asked if I was paying cash or card. Told her cash, $50/1 piercing, handed her my money and she flung a piercing care instruction paper at me and that was that.
The instructions say to wash the piercings with antibacterial soap followed by saline solution. However, everywhere on the internet says NOT to use any sort of antibacterial anything on a nose piercing and to just use the saline spray instead. So, there's that.
I'd rate higher if I was spoken to and actually knew the woman's name. I was the only person in the shop so it's not like they were too busy to ask me if I had any concerns and how to properly care for it afterwards.
I had a wonderful experience here, and absolutely love my new helix piercing. The person who pierced me and checked me out was very kind. Can’t wait to come back and get more ????.
i had a not so great experience here on 2/23/24 around 1-2:30ishin the afternoon. i go in to get my lobes pierced, which is USUALLY an inexpensive thing. first of all, the person up front having people sign paper work was not friendly. she ends up being the one who pierces me and as im making small talk trying to be friendly she’s still rude and interrupts me as im talking. before all this, im sat down waiting to be pierced and i ask if its going to be $50 because i was not told a price at the desk, but there is a sign stating that one piercing is $50 while 2 is $80, which i assume lobe piercings would be different but i guess i should not have assumed. now, she tells me it’ll be $50 and that’s fine because that’s what i was expecting, because again simple lobe piercings are not very expensive. as im sat down and getting ready to be pierced she goes, “if you’re getting both then it’ll be $80,” which, okay who gets just one lobe pierced nowadays? especially since i told her it would be my second holes. now at that point i should have just said forget it but im not confrontational so i just sucked it up, which is entirely my fault. there are also apparently fees applied if you use debit/credit, which again not exactly unheard of, but in the end i end up spending NINETY ONE DOLLARS to get simple lobe piercings. she also did not tell me how to take care of my piercings, nor offer me saline solution. so just a fair warning to everyone who plans to go here to get a piercing. anyways, i thought this would be my new piercing spot but i definitely won’t be coming back here.
Edit: since i cannot respond to you, and you believe i am lying about not receiving an aftercare sheet, you can check the cameras. i was there, as stated above on Friday the 23rd between 1-2:30ish, i can’t remember. i have many piercings, yes and should remember how to take care of them but i have not gotten a new one in a few months and do not remember how to take care of them… especially since i did not receive the after sheet like i was supposed to.the thing that upsets me most is that i had a really good experience here a few months back, but like i said i was not treated well my past visit and that is my biggest issue. thanks, have a nice day.
We made the drive all the way to get it done at Tatú, I can’t say enough about how sweet she was to us and how she made the experience wonderful for my 16yo daughter whom had been promised a nose piercing for her 16th birthday, I would highly recommend them
They were busy because their Friday the 13th special so they were too rushed to answer questions about the piercing I wanted but it was understandable with the line literally out the door. I really just wish they had titanium options instead of surgical steel. My body is so sensitive to metals and the surgical steel doesn't do as well for me as the titanium does. I completely get why they don't use like some cheap nickel plated jewelry or something for piercing but some choices of different good quality materials would be such a great option.
So I had an impulsive desire for a tattoo with one of my favorite scriptures. I went in expecting to get a quote and schedule an appointment.... but Candy helped me choose the lettering and got me in and out in little over an hour!! This place is awesome! The vibe is cool AF too...I'll be back ASAP ????
Been coming to Tatu and Jay for well over 10 years. I live out if state now and still come here everytime I visit family to get work done. This are the two I had done yesterday.
