When you walk through the doors you can tell this restaurant is family owned. The restaurant feels very cozy, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is great, my wife and I really enjoyed the spaghetti. We're typically underwhelmed by spaghetti at most Italian restaurants, but the tomato sauce here is very flavorful! The Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo is also good, nothing special though Just good. My wife enjoyed her Chicken cacciatore a lot! I have to say it was really good, the pasta and sauce were excellent. Also if you get a full sized portion here it comes with soup and salad. For our salads we chose Italian dressing of course! It was house made, and we loved it. The dressing felt very light but it was still bursting with flavor. You also get complimentary bread, and I almost forgot to mention that there are free desserts on Sundays! You have the choice between chocolate cake or pumpkin pie, so you will undoubtedly leave this restaurant feeling full! This cozy restaurant is great for just a night out, or for a family affair.
Several neighbors and friends have recommended this restaurant, so we decided to try for ourselves on a Friday evening. We called ahead to ensure there would be seating available in the open dining room. We were promptly greeted by the manager who introduced us to the variety of menu options based upon our preferences.
Our party of three enjoyed the ten course option, which allowed us to sample from all areas of the menu, the sole fish with stuffed crabmeat, and homemade spaghetti with meatballs. We were very pleased with our appetizers, meals, and desserts. The portions were generous and our server, Carlos, was personable and engaging.
We wanted to sample the offerings before placing a catering order for a graduation party. They delivered on all areas we experienced! Having dined in various restaurants of all price points border to border, coast to coast, we found TAT Ristorante to be a wonderful value that delivers on quality, freshness, taste, and portion-size.
Whether dining in or carrying out, even the most discerning taste buds will find a favorite on this plentiful menu. We understand why so many locals highly recommend this restaurant as a long-standing favorite for even picky eaters. Our ONLY regret, we did not capture any pictures because we were too busy enjoying our dining experience!!!
Passing through the area and was craving Italian of which Columbus seemingly has 97 Italian restaurants...
Settled on TAT Ristorante due to cozy look and have we have a 10yr old. Wow, so glad we did.
This place is a throwback to ???? traditional, Italian Sunday family eating.
Calamari- light, tender with a homemade marinara.
Wedding soup to die for. Salads in a chilled bowl with the light, crisp and bright vinegarette not to be skipped!
I had a seafood lasagna special that l'll have dreams about, the cheeses were all crusty on the edges giving this texture beyond amazing.
Aaaaaand we simply couldn't pass on dessert, the tiramisu was traditional comfort but.... The lemon cream cake is a light, airy lemony confection that I'll compare all future desserts to. Service was provided by someone I felt was family by the end of our meal! Lots of locals here, they know what's up. Hope to be back here again if I'm ever in Ohio again....!
Went there with my parents recently & we all really enjoyed the food. I had the baked lasagna full order & ate the whole thing. It was so good. I really enjoyed the Italian Wedding Soup, it's one of my favorite soups. This one is the best I have ever had. I also got a cannoli & it is very good. The Staff were very friendly & attentive. My parents & I definitely will go again & I'm recommending this place to others.
CLEVELAND Italian here, tastes like food service items, veal was frozen patty, salad dressing was oil no flavor, burnt stale bread, absolutely garbage. Don’t let the name fool you. BRAVO! is 10x better, which pains me to write!
First time eating here and we will definitely be back! Everything was excellent but what stood out for me was the wedding soup. I had never had wedding soup but this was made with high quality ingredients and it was delicious!
We had such a wonderful dinner tonight at TAT! I can rave enough! Server was also wonderful! My wife and I shared the Sicilian 10 Course meal so that we could sample a lot of stuff and omgosh everything was so so good! We try to go to a different restaurant every week but we will definitely be back here soon! Jeff, one of the family made us feel so at home here! Our server was on it! Everything was absolutely 5 star worthy! I cannot recommend TAT enough! Everyone loved there food!
It seemed like more of a place for elderly people. It was clean and had a nice atmosphere. Our server Jane was friendly and professional. I went with my brother for lunch. The bread was served cold which I thought was a bit odd. It was as if it had just been taken out of a bag. The calamari was good. I got the stuffed shells with a side salad and my brother got the Poor Boy and fries. The portions and prices were fair and the food was decent. I'd probably visit again to try some of the other options but it wasn't anything exceptional.
