I've given this place three tries.
Last time,
The taco shells are stale. The adobada, and carnitas have no flavor may be because there was very little meat. They gave us no hot sauce or salsa to go with the tacos. All in all the food was just not good.
Drive by this place almost every day, I stop trying out Mexican restaurants because I can not find a good place here in Northside, I'm glad my kid wanted some Mexican food because this place was on point with the flavor, highly recommended
Food is great but only if you come with a native Spanish speaker who orders for you. Every time I come alone, everything seems lower quality/straight from the freezer and little meat and they have me in and out faster than the McDonald's up the road. Probably a 1 or 2 stars.
On the other hand, when I come with my Mexican fiance and she orders for us in Spanish, they take their time to give us freshly made food with fresh ingredients, plenty of meat, and everything tastes great! 4 or 5 stars in that case.
Guess I gotta learn to speak the language a little better! 3 stars overall for now ????
Grilled Chicken Chimichanga, Rice and Beans , Chilli Verde Taco Salad. The food was exceptional. I think I found my new Mexican Food Spot. Highly recommend to anyone in there area.
The place was busy. Salsa bar was closed. It was hot inside. Quite a few flies. My super burrito was delicious however it was missing guacamole. Looked at the menu again, turns out the super burrito don't come with guacamole. Why? I don't know. Does not make sense. The rice was cooked perfect. The steak well seasoned. Also ordered the menudo. The flavor was good but could use more spice or seasoning. The broth wasn't even red. Overall the place is ok.
Good food...would recommend the carnitas wet burrito...awesome. Eating there, it can be a little crowded at times and table tops kindof feel sticky. Need to add salsa to the chip station. But still good and reasonably priced.
We ordered two super Carne asada burritos. First time here. Barely any carne asada, looks more like a rice and beans burrito. We'll definitely not be coming here again.
I ordered 3 mulitas for pick up the food was ready at the time they said it would be. I got 1 pastor, 1 asada and 1 birria. The asada and birria were good. Let me tell you about that pastor though...it was straight heat!! Fire!! Gooder than a sum ditch. If you like pastor go ahead and do yourself a favor and try it. It's a heavenly experience when you bite into it. Yoooo is that why they call it pastor!? In all seriousness I recommend it!
