Best WLM Reviews
Be careful when eating at this place. I have reported 2 different incidents in less than 8 months because the salsas are rotten. They never checked the salsas before putting them out to the public. I called the son of the owner and he didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience. I gave them a second chance because everyone can make a mistake but if it keeps happening it’s because they don’t care about the quality of the food they put out for sell. It’s sad because I used to like this joint. I’m just hoping he honor his word and give me a full refund (but that’s not the point)
The meat is super juicy, which makes the taco shell on the taco soaking wet. The price is a but high $4.95/ regular taco. They have free chip and salsa but I didn't really want chip, I just want the taco. They have variety of sauce and vegies selection. It's self service. The place was busy around 10pm we came at night.
Now, our recent taste buds hasn’t changed and we both wanted burritos again. I got a wet burrito and my wife got a shrimp burrito!!!
You can order ahead and I recommend you do so you don't need to wait too long. Oftentimes they get busy and don't pick up the phone the first one - three times you call, but just try again.
I recommend their cabeza if that doesn't gross you out. It's very tender and juicy.
They have a few parking spots in the back for pickup but the entrance is slightly hard to see.
The location is relatively clean and typical for this genre.
My first time in Taq. Guad. was a good experience. Was visiting San Fran and my buddy that lives there loves the place. I had the regular chicken tacos, which were very good and authentic (which I don't get in Milwaukee, as you can imagine). The decor was fun inside... cool little diorama scenes colorfully painted.
(They also have fresh cut radishes on their salsa bar... which made me VERY happy... as I'm painfully addicted to radishes ????) I would definitely suggest sticking your head in there and trying it.
The food here is very good. The only reason for the 3 star service is because I ordered a shrimp and carne asada burrito with tomatillo salsa(I ordered in Spanish). Somehow, I ended up with a a steak and shrimp burrito with melted cheese and grilled vegetable inside which I did not ask for. I repeated the order to make sure they got it right and they confirmed. The food is still amazing.
I've only had the super carne asada. I like the meat they use it's tender and juicy. I'll be trying different items on the menu very soon. Their salsa bar is nice has marinated jalapenos onions, carrots and salsas
I always have such a good experience here! El Farolito is literally across from these guys and I will always still cross the street to come here.
They are fast with their orders and the salsa are BOMB!!!!! The food portions are also really big and worth the trip.
