Best WLM Reviews
Definitely our new favorite place in town for a quick meal. Very friendly staff, very fast service, well seasoned food, good portion sizes and good prices. The salsa bar is well stocked and nicely labeled. Family friendly with a great kids menu
Great Mexican food. Found a new favorite dish here. Great atmosphere and never super packed during the weekday. Plenty of seating that's spread out so you're not bumping shoulders or backing into someone from your table.
I paid 17 for three carne asada tacos to be delivered, and didn’t get any lime or green salsa that I ordered. No napkins, utensils either. Bummed me out to receive such a sad plate during a busy work shift.
The food is really good, and the pricing is great. Top 2 birria tacos in the area. I rated the service as 3 because beyond order taking, and bringing the food, there is no service. So not great service, but also not bad service. Atmosphere is ok, nothing special.
I believe it changed owner. I used to love this place! Came back after many months the away. NOT THE SAME…
Place was very smoky and couldn’t even see across the room.
Food was bland with little flavor.
Person behind the register short tempered and felt like they just wanted to order and get out.
Just not the same as it was several months back..
Will not be returning! Bummer as it was my favorite taco place at one point!
So my husband and I love trying new places to eat. We have lived in this area for 3 years and passed this place almost every day. Well, we finally stopped by. I'm telling you!! Oh man I was shocked at how good this food is! The salsa bar has fresh limes, and I mean fresh! Great flavors! I can make some mean Hispanic food, and this place is my go to when I don't want to cook. Just fantastic I tell you!! Tables are clean, and the ambiance is welcoming! Give it a try when you're out and about. Parking is a bit tough, but we'll worth it. Has a great ramp for the handicapped and plenty of room for wheelchairs!!
Hands-down best tacos I've found in the Idaho Falls/Ammon area.
The birria tacos at Taqueria El Rodeo are by far the best birria tacos I've had since moving here. The consome has a great flavor as well. You definitely won't be disappointed. The asada and lengua tacos are good too! Nothing is lacking in flavor, that's for sure. Prices are slightly higher than others I've had (appx $2.40 per taco) but worth it in my opinion.
I've also had the verde enchiladas. The enchilada sauce had a slight vinegar taste to it so these weren't my favorite.
The salsa bar is fantastic. There are 6 different salsa options, all ranging in spice levels. You can also find limes and radishes.
The biggest downside? Taqueria El Rodeo closes at 8pm on weekdays. I have to cut it pretty close if trying to stop in on my way home after work - but it's worth it, in my opinion. The interior is kept clean and the food is served up quickly. Each time I've been here, I waited less than 15 minutes.
In full honesty, I've been here more often in the last two weeks than I'd like to admit. But I can't help it...
Way over priced** Beyond disappointing, especially for almost 3 dollars a taco. Meat was very bland and there was barely any onion and cilantro (carnitas had zero flavor or texture, should be slightly crispy). The breakfast burrito was $10 and had no cheese or any sort of flavor outside of the sausage in it. Try La Carreta taco bus to compare flavor on the exact same style of burrito ($8). The hot sauce was definitely the worst in town.. this places rating is reflective of the side of town they are located, not the actual quality of the food. I've honestly never eaten Mexican food so disappointing outside of the union market on 1st street. Places to try: La Carreta, Garcias Meat Market, Tacos las Penitas, Tacos mi Pueblo, and Morenitas.
