Local Chinese food market vibe. Great service. And VERY delicious and affordable pastries. Strongly recommend. I loved the Taro pineapple bun and cant believe they sell 5 small pine apple buns for less than $4!!! We got 7 pastries for less than $10!
Perfect place to grab satiating lunch and dinner when on-the-go AND on-a-budget. Discovered this place on a trip and have been coming back ever since. Communication can be quite tricky but you can also point out what you want and they’re very generous with their portions. The food is really good from the fried chicken/pork to the rice, noodles, vegetable stir fry, shrimp, etc. The lines can be long during lunch rush but they work to get you in & out as quickly as possible
A well known spot for the town. I have been here many times :) their stuff is always fresh and tasty!
Food is cheap, no taste or seasoning. Ive had better Chinese food. Don’t be tempted to get everything, just get specific things u actually like and move on. Its a good one time thing. Just to join the hype. But definitely not the best.
Every trip coming to Oakland, this is a stop I have to make. The food is delicious, the amount of food you get for the price is huge! It goes by weight but so totally worth it. They have a bunch of different Asian treats/pastry. Love love love the food. You’ll just have to see the pictures.
This is located in China town, the only thing I don’t like is whenever I go here is always homeless people begging for money and food and the smell outside is not pretty.
This place used to be better. We came over the weekend to pick up some dim sum, and sadly found that now it's quite disappointing.
In fairness, the siu mai (pork dumpling) is still quite good - big, meaty and tasty; better than most restaurants. And their fried noodles were not too bad. But other than those, everything else we bought was not worth the trip. The har gow was downright terrible. The rice noodle rolls were way way way too thick, and the one with the shrimp.....way way way too little shrimp, like eating just dough mostly. The chive dumpling was meh; so was the war tip. We also bought some dinner dishes, like their stir fried long bean, the salt and pepper shrimp, which was overcooked and undersalted, and the sweet & sour chicken. Like I said, none worth making the trip for.
They have also increased their prices quite a bit. It used to be inexpensive. Now it's about the same as in a sit-down restaurant. Not worth the trip.
I was disappointed in the steam pork buns, they were dry and the pork had no flavor. I have had way better maybe there are other parts of thenu that are 4+ star just nothe the steam pork buns
Greasy, well seasoned deliciousness in big portions! (Small portions pictured below). Really enjoyed the rice rolls especially. They were bland by themselves and delicious when dipped in gravy.
