Tanner’s Barber Shop is simply the best you can find anywhere. Mike gives great haircuts and is one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet. Veteran owned business. And yes, it’s a lot like Floyd’s barber shop in Mayberry. I’ve been going there since he opened for business years ago. He spoiled me - if he ever retires I’ll just let my hair grow. No one can replace him. Five stars all the way around !

If you are looking for a "true" barber, this is the place! Mike does a great job on hair and beards. I would highly recommend!

On top of that, Mike brings his dog Scott to the shop that is there to greet you when you arrive.

After moving to Missouri four years ago, one of the things I missed the most about home was not having a trusted barber. I finally found a great barber. I came into Tanner's for the first time with my two year old son and Mike was great. He was welcoming and great cutting my son's hair, and there is nothing like getting a warm lather and shave clean up around the edges.

I'll for sure be going to Mike for now on for me and my son.

Mike is always professional and friendly. I get a great haircut every time I walk in . Prices are very reasonable. Mike works great with kids as well.

Mike is very personable. He is an excellent barber and does a few extra things barbers of old used to do but rarely do today. He also has a great Blue Heeler that is very friendly. Mike's charge is very reasonable.

Great friendly barber, who does a variety of cuts. He is fast, efficient and all around really nice guy. Mike Tanner is who owns and runs the shop. He prefers appointments call ahead and be scheduled but takes walk ins. He takes cash or personal checks ONLY but...I had only a debit aand credit cards. He comped me the haircut and said payme next time you come in. I definetly have found a new barber he is on Madison right off of 54 just as you get into Jeff City.

I'm a repeat customer. Mike does a real fine job and takes pride in his work. He takes extra care to understand the haircut you want and has the skills to provide it. I am very pleased with the haircuts he gave me and I am not hesitant to recommend him to others. I also send my son to Mike.
