Mine and my husband’s hair turned out terribly . My husband specifically told them not to cut the top and they did anyways . It’s choppy and butchered and looks like they used dull scissors on it . My hair was already white . I just asked for my roots to be bleached and my hair to be toned , because it was getting a little bronzy . They left the bleach in my hair for over an hour and I left with dark grey roots , purple throughout my hair , more yellow and orange . I just needed the ends toned and I left with the emo rainbow throughout my hair . I spent over $100 and I know they’re newer , but my friend with absolutely no cosmetology experience has done 1,000 times better on my hair . I literally left crying , because of how bad they messed up my hair . Never again .

I would highly recommend Loren. She does a wonderful job with everything hair. She has been amazing at cutting my hair and also done a great job cutting my step daughters and mothers hair. She did a perfect hairstyle on my step daughters hair for prom. Not only does she do great work with hair, she also is very professional, non-judgmental, sweetest person you will encounter! I had an appointment scheduled for yesterday with Macy. She was not there when I showed up. The owner said “she just left to grab something at the store” she then proceeded to call Macy and I could overhear the conversation because it was in the same room the owner was saying “maybe she has the wrong day, or maybe she is just a walk in” they were trying to figure out why I was there. Macy forgot I had an appointment. But then tried to text me that she wasn’t there due to an emergency appointment that came up. I would have believed this if the owner hadn’t said she had just left to go to the store and I hadn’t overheard them trying to figure out why I was there.
I would overlook this because we are all humans that make mistakes, but there are other issues that I’ve experienced as well. Trying to book appointments are difficult. I went through the website the first time, she said she didn’t see it due to not getting notifications. So she said next time, use Facebook. I did that, didn’t get a response for a few weeks. By that time, I gave up. She gave me her number after that.
The other issue I had was when I went to her for color, I asked for a light orange color, she showed me a dark one saying that was the best option for what I want and said “trust me, I know it looks dark but this will make your color look really good. Once it starts to fade, it’ll look great” she made me believe that was the best option. But another stylist came in while I was getting the color and she said “I didn’t have the color she wanted, so we went a little darker”
My problem is that she isn’t trustworthy. You have to have trust with your stylist and I just can’t trust her.
2 stars because the cut I actually did get the first time, was what I wanted.
So I went to Tangled waves. The people were friendly but the particular hair stylist that did my hair was just.... well not good at listening. I ended up booking with Cathy. I dont know about the other hair stylists, but she was very heavy handed and hurt my head. And also ended up blaming me for the end result not being what I asked for, despite the fact that I DID provide a picture AND did my best to describe how exactly I wanted my hair done BEFORE she started on my hair. She even ended up leaving to get the colors she needed WHILE I WAS IN THE CHAIR. Even though I told her she needed a vibrant darker ruby red and black. And then she fought with me about what I wanted and only put red in my hair in the end (which washed out in less than a month). After her causing more damage to my hair by forcing a comb through it while it was wet after I told her not to, her blaming me for her inability to do the job, telling me I should chop off half of my long beautiful hair, and treating me like I was dumb, I politely told her to stop, paid $100 and left (they only accept cash or check). I am never going back, even if they reply to to this review. If after reading this you still are going to go to tangled waves, take my advice and don't book with Cathy unless you want just a simple cut and don't mind having your hair pulled. If you take this review seriously and decide you don't want to go to tangled waves, I would recommend Salon Aura instead. The person that owns Salon Aura fixed my hair and did what Cathy at tangled waves did not. (Give great results and no excuses)
I can’t say enough great things about Tangled Waves and Macy, my hair stylist! I can be quite picky and don’t trust many people with my hair because of its length. Macy did a great job listening to what I wanted, even when I was honest and said I probably will not be back in the normal time frame, I like to extend the time in between cuts/color. I explained to her exactly what I was looking for and she suggested root shading and all I can say is I LOVE IT!!!! She takes her time and is like a master artist when it comes to coloring! Will definitely be back!
Great hair cut! Super friendly folks, even accepted me as a walk in.. I have always had a hard time finding someone who can cut my kind of curly hair but Macy did an exceptional job. I'll definitely go back.
Macy did an awesome job on my haircut and she was so professional and has a lot of patience.Would definitely visit here on a regular basis.I highly recommend this place for an awesome professional hair do.Keep up the great work!!
