Best WLM Reviews
I have been here years ago, decided to return tonight and was highly impressed! The food exceeded my expectations, it was delicious! Not bland, tons of flavor, exactly how I like it. Huge portions for the price. Will put this restaurant back in my dinner rotation
Unrelated to the restaurant itself, this complex used to be busy but for some reason it feels like a ghost town outside of it, almost like an experience people would pay for
Give it a try!
Their food is always delicious and fresh. Everything is spiced to perfection, the meats are always tender and tasty, and the customer service is amazing. 100% recommend.
I want to start off by praising my server Singh. He’s such a sweet, funny individual and held a smile the entire time I was there. Very helpful when I asked for a suggestion on what to get from the vegetarian portion of the menu as I do not eat meat and it did not disappoint. Now for the food. I ordered the Garlic cheese kulcha. You can need go wrong with Indian bread but that was made beautifully. For my meal I had the Dal Makhani (medium spiciness) which comes with rice and I loved it. They do not use any oil in their food unlike many other Indian restaurants which was amazing to know in itself. All I have to say is if you’re ever considering coming here to eat do not hesitate. Loved everything about tandoori India I just wish I took pictures of the food to share.
Tandoori East India Restaurant
My family and I have been coming to Tandoor East India Restaurant for over 20 years and have never been disappointed with the food or service. Yesterday’s meal was no exception. The waiter couldn’t have been more attentive. It’s owned by Singh and his wife, the chef. It’s truly home cooking at its best. They have been in business over 33 years in the same location which shows its success. He has always been the most welcoming host who is happy to explain what the specific menu items are and make recommendations if asked. We have had many of the dishes over the years and enjoyed them all. We’ve ordered the Vegetable Samosa appetizer, Muliktawany soup (chicken w lentils) is rich and flavorful and can almost be a meal. The naan bread, with or without garlic, is soft and fluffy which we usually wipe our plates with to get the last bit of sauce. We’ve had the following dishes: Chicken Tikka Masala, or Curry. Lamb, actually goat Curry, Vindaloo, Rogan Josh. Saag Paneer, Chana Masala, Baingan Bhartha, so good (roasted eggplant w tomatoes onions n herbs), Golden Dal. Shrimp Biryani is flavorful and cooked to perfection with crisp fresh shrimp. Mango Lassi is wonderful. The quality and quantity of the food has never wavered over all these years. I recommend you try this place it if you like Indian cuisine.
This is a local favorite for good Indian food. We've been here twice and both times the food, and service were consistently excellent.
The food has always been tasty and authentic. One time we ate meat dishes, the 2nd time (yesterday) vegetarian dishes. Yesterday we enjoyed Chana masala, tofu curry and garlic naan. The garlic naan was on point, and the meal was excellent. The menu has a large selection of vegetarian options.
The service here is great. We had our waters consistently filled and if we needed anything, the server was quick to accommodate.
We noticed many people coming in for pickup orders. The location is a little odd, being in a strip mall with a lot of vacancies, you'll find the restaurant nestled in a corner behind a building so it isn't viewable from the road. I would consider this a hidden gem.
We have been coming here for years, and everything we order is fantastic. I highly recommend this place! Very fresh and flavorful.
Been coming here for a while! Best takeout too!! Always so good, so fresh and the people are so lovely. Never had a bad meal here once.
My husband and I are from New York, and we found this hidden gem while visiting Deal, NJ. Wow, what a pleasant surprise.
Every dish we had was absolutely delicious. We had vegetable samosas to start, and they were perfectly crispy on the outside. They came with 2 delicious sauces. The garlic naan has the perfect softness and is made with fresh garlic. My chicken Tikka masala was to die for, probably the best I've had in my lifetime. My husband had the chili chicken masala which was also excellent, but the chicken pieces were bigger. The staff was friendly and the service was excellent. I wish this was my neighborhood Indian restaurant, but I'll be sure to eat at this restaurant anytime I visit Deal, NJ.
