Jennifer and the team at Tame did an amazing job for my wedding hair and makeup. They were easy to work with, responsive, and adjustable. Jennifer even fit my friends in for blow outs on the morning of our wedding which they were super excited about. Thank you to the team for making me as beautiful as the day!
I was hesitant to come here because of the mixed reviews, especially with how they treat Groupon customers, but let me tell you, I was pleasantly surprised :) I made sure to read all the reviews and saw which names popped up positively, so I asked for Ashley since Nikki was booked. Ashley was nice, with a quiet personality, and most importantly she listened to me, and didn't treat me like an idiot. She did everything I asked exactly as I asked for it! She took her time and made sure I was happy with everything. It ended up perfect to me! I had brought my daughter, and when a song came on with explicit lyrics, Ashley asked them to change the channel, even though I didn't mind or mention it. That was an extra sensitive touch, I thought. I've never been so satisfied with a haircut AND customer service in my life. I've never been tempted to come back to the same place more than once, but this stylist changed that for me :) I would love to come back here, and I would recommend her services to anyone. If you go to Tame, ask for Ashley :) She's awesome!!
If I could give zero stars I would. Do NOT bother going here. I made an appointment with the owner for a blowout on the day of my best friend’s wedding. I showed up to my appointment about 10 minutes early and the salon was dark, no one was there, and it was CLOSED - even though they were supposed to be open according to their posted hours. I tried calling - no answer. I wound up finding a salon around the corner, and the manager at the new salon said this happens all the time!! Do not waste your time with their business! Incredibly unprofessional and disappointing!
My daughter and I both had our hair done at tease. and both had a wonderful time. In fact, my daughter has requested to go back multiple times. I enjoyed the feel in the store, the staff was all very friendly and helpful, and the glass of bubbly was a fun touch. (lemonade for my young daughter) My hair held the style very well even in the heat of summer. I would highly recommend this experience for anyone looking for a fun look or for a special occasion. I wasn't sure how my young child would do but the staff made it fun for her too. Great place!
I had an awesome experience at this salon!! Niki was my hair stylist, she did a phenomenal job!! I got a cut and color. I was a little nervous at first because I was trying out something new but she definitely blew me away!! Best hair stylist I've ever had!! Go check this salon out;-) you won't be disappointed I can assure you of that!
I went there for the first time today to get my hair done for graduation. The place is nice and easy to find. It was clean inside but I wish they didn't use white chairs because white gets dirty so easily and you can see hair dye and stuff on the chairs. Also, although there were several seats open they put another customer in the chair next to mine. This normally wouldn't bother me but we were so close that our feet were bumping into each other when they swiveled the chairs! Awkward! Besides that I had an enjoyable time. Everyone was nice, the hair wash was relaxing, and I love how my hair looks. Overall, I would recommend it.
I had a very disappointing experience at Tame. I booked a hair and makeup trial for my upcoming wedding, but I will not be going back on my actual wedding day. I arrived at 9:50, ten minutes before my appointment, and the store was locked and the lights were off, even though they open at 9:00. The woman with whom my appointment was booked arrived at exactly 10:00 without comment. Once she settled in and the appointment began, things didn’t improve. I was not happy with my makeup. I asked for natural looking eye makeup, but what I received was much too dark, much to heavy, and very dark red.
In addition to this, the telephone kept ringing, but she never showed any indication of answering it. Eventually the customer who was trying to reach the salon came there in person, and my makeup artist, the only employee in the store, wasn’t able to help her because their computer system was down. The fact that the phone went unanswered, coupled with the fact that the store is regularly closed when they say they’re open, makes me believe it’s quite impossible to reach anyone who works there.
Finally, when my disappointing appointment was over, I was told that I would have to pay in cash since the store’s system was down, so I had to go find an ATM and pay a withdrawal fee.
In general, I felt very disrespected and could not believe how unprofessional the whole experience was, especially for such a high price. I will not be returning.
Niki and Carla are the best!! Carla greeted me promptly and offered me water and wine! The environment of Tame is upscale and intimate! Niki is the ultimate #girlboss goals!! She hustles like no one I have ever seen. She listened to my hair history and goals and went over the game plan without compromising the integrity of my hair! I loved conversing with the clients that were in the salon at the same time as me and hearing that they've been clients of Niki's for over ten years. I can't wait for my next visit!!
