Friendly, good service, and great food. My first time having pozole and I’ll definitely be back. We had the red and the green pozole. The tostados, crushed red pepper, and avocado all stepped things up a notch. I could’ve used a bit more heat, but delicious nonetheless.
I just got some tamales from this place and my chicken tamales were RAW. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!
I had their tamales, they were really good. You can just tell they care about the customers with the quality of their food. Can't wait to try other things off their menu.
The nice place you can sit the tamales very good I like tamal in red chicken sauce the other oxacan I don't like much but to be the first time taste Enchiladas de moles very rich ask for more guacamole. The price just the very kind staff will certainly return for tamales.
This place has gone downhill. The quality of the food and taste is awful. The practice of food safety and sanitation is not followed at all here!The tamales have very little meat/sauce in them, wrapped in dry, tasteless, sour masa. The fruit tamales were the same--dry, tasteless colored masa. The chicken is not fresh at all, has an odd sour taste, the meat that is going bad kinda of taste. They surely don't use the freshest and high quality ingredients for their food.

I don't understand how this place is still in business. The health department should have slapped them with food violations! The cleanliness of the restaurant inside looks greasy and unclean.
The people who own and operate this restaurant are rude and don't care about making their customers sick.
I can't see how other people are giving them 5 stars for food, service, etc... This restaurant must be paying those people to give them 5 stars!!
If you enjoy a good dose of ????food poisoning and spending long hours on toilet ???? from eating here. This is your place to visit! Mmm, Yum!!

If you have never had their tamales, you’re in for a treat. Personal favorite are the chicken verde sauce. I would gladly host a party with these little delightful pockets of joy and deliciousness as the main entree. It’s a reminder of why I’m so grateful to live in a diverse city like Chicago in the wonderful community that is Rogers Park where entrepreneurs can build a business around a great recipe. They serve other Mexican dishes but I come for the fresh tamales. Cheers!
Definitely one of Chicago's best restaurants for affordable, delicious and flavorful food from the state of Guerrero, Mexico. Great hosts/ owners Olivita and Erika make it even more enjoyable.
Bring a healthy appetite, you will not be disappointed
Great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Food is delicious and definitely highly recommended. Traditional Mexican food and also the new management very friendly and respectful not only for their customers but for their employees as well.
