Tainos Bakery has multiple locations around Orlando, I went to Lakeunderhill. The food was great I Got the “El Taino burger” which is Stacked up! Beef patty, chicken patty, Bacon, fried egg, lettuce,tomato, onion with your choice of sauces. A steal for $10 bucks. I had to cut it in half and still could barely get my mouth around it. The beef patty was dripping juices as I cut it open 10/10. My 3.5 star rating comes from the bakery options seeing as that is what they consider them selves to be I was disappointed. Questio was soft filled with cream cheese on one side and light on the glaze over it 4/10. The Ferreira cheesecake was the best one I got and still just a strong 6.5/10 the textures were on point but just lacked flavor that would make me come back for it. The other cake I got did not have a name with it but it taste like a flan top with cookie bottom 5/10. Again just lacking flavor and in my opinion they didn’t go well together. I would definitely come for the burger not the pastry’s.
Service can certainly improve. The employees don't seem to care much about providing great service. Here are two things I experienced/noticed while dining in:
The cashier rang my order correctly, but the kitchen got it wrong and even though they fixed it, they didn't seem too eager to do so when I pointed it out.
Not sure why but, the employees don't answer the phones. The phone rang loudly for several minutes straight and no one answered it. There was no line or customers waiting at all. The employees were all just chatting among themselves behind the counter.
Other than this, food is decent. Pastries are good, but also pricey. I only come here when I crave Puerto Rican food and don't feel like cooking since this location is close to my place.
If you’re looking for a delicious breakfast/lunch cafe with a variety of options, this is the one for you! Ugh I love coming here when I come up to Orlando, the food is so good! I tend to get the breakfast sandwich and I love how you can customize everything about it as well. When you come in you can either wait in line or go to the easy to work touch pads and add and remove anything and everything you want. The fresh orange juice is so good, and the oatmeal… I don’t think you’ll find better oatmeal anywhere else it’s to die for! I love it here 10/10!
This is my second time in the place it’s so delicious it brought me back memories from when I was little. Such delicious food . Sandwiches, empanadas and omg the quesitos ???? too bad I live 7 hours away if I was closer I would be there every day lol. The place was spacious employees were very nice. The only complaint I have was the coffee wasn’t that good but other than that everything else was good even their orange juice was fresh it was made from scratch.
Beatriz,Arismar and Gretel are very attentive with great personality and experience customer service. Always meeting the customer with a smile which is why we always come back. Excellent quality food that makes us remember our native island of Puerto Rico. Thank you Taino’s Bakery. The quesitos often trying to be imitated but never the same as the original from Taino’s…… :)
I came today and i was very specific on my order i ask a mayorca salami, chesse and egg sandwich and a mayorca turkey and bacon sandwich of course they charge me for the extra and when i get home no egg on my or bacon on the other sandwich, and the salami was birn on the edges and of course can't come back because I live and 1h away...is very sad that they charge you for everything but forgetting to put it in!!! This place used to be my favorite but now since always so busy I guess they rushing to take out the orders unfortunately...????????
Very nice atmosphere, great food, lots to try! We were looking for a new place to go for breakfast and came across this place. Great price point and you will leave full and happy.
Best location I've visited so far. I decided to come to this location for the first time on Father's Day to grab some lunch. I have visited a different location a few months back and the experience wasn't great so I was hoping so something better. This location is very big with plenty of tables to choose from. You can order by phone or at the register. For being Father's Day it wasn't busy as of 12pm.
I ordered several items. For starters/ picadera I ordered a yucca alcapurria and a masa alcapurria, a cheese dog, Sorullitos de maiz. Everything was good and made to order.
We also ordered a mofongo with fried pork . The mofongo was good not dry but it needed a little broth on the side. The pork was very well seasoned and had a good balance of fat on them definitely not dry.
I also ordered 2 mallorcas one with just sugar and a cheese and guava. They were both delicious.
They have a big breakfast, lunch and dinner menu. I look forward to trying other menu items.
