Tacos El Costeno is a hidden gem. We tried it on our first night in Sarasota, based on all of the glowing reviews, and it did not disappoint. My husband had a steak taco and pork taco and my daughter had a chicken taco. The tacos came with cilantro, lime, onion, and slices of radishes. Based on one review I saw, I went for a gordita with chorizo, and it was amazing. The dough was freshly fried. The chorizo was so flavorful. I was in heaven. 1 gordita for dinner was plenty for me to feel full. The food was served with 2 sauces to add on--one green and one red and both were great. I liked that there were picnic tables to eat freshly cooked food that was brought out to us. My only gripe was that the tables are close to a road that has a decent amount of traffic going by, so it was a bit loud. But not a big deal overall. We will absolutely visit this place again during our time in Sarasota!
I saw the great ratings and thought I’d try this place out. The others are right, it was so fresh and delicious! I asked if they could make me vegetarian tacos, no meat, with just the beans, cheese and all the veggies, and they did. I got two tacos, it was five dollars and some change. I’ll probably get 3 next time for a full meal as they are on the smaller side. I highly recommend!!

So good! Very happy we took a 3 min detour to this gem of a taqueria!! Super fresh and the even the kids ate all their food (go figure ????)
Real Mexican flavor, I recommend all kind of tacos. If you have been in Mexico, this is the real flavor of those tacos you miss. Good price and excellent service at night.
DELICIOUS Al Pastor burrito!!!! Picked this at random after a beach day before driving back to Orlando and we were blown away.
Easily the best taco place I’ve been to in my entire life. I could not recommend it more. Try this place and your life will be changed.
