We came to Tacos Culiacan to celebrate my Comadre's belated birthday. It just happened to be on Viernes Santo. So I was excited to see if they had Cuaresma food.
THEY DID!!!
I ordered the Shrimp Patties topped with Nopales in Salsa Roja with a side of Beans & Rice with three Homemade Corn Tortillas.
My Comadre got the Chiles Rellenos con Queso with Beans & Rice and the Tortillas.
We also got a side of the Queso to add to the beans and the tacos. It added a yummy 'just like home' flavor.
For dessert, we had the Capirotada, a Mexican-style bread pudding. We had the last of it, and it was more than enough to eat there and take home.
The place is small and intimate. Our server was very friendly, and we were the last folks there. She gave us space to chat and visit while she mopped. It really reminded me of eating at home.
1 of the older ladies was rude, took forever to take our order we were about uo walk out until a sweet young lady took our order and was super apologetic for the other employee only reason wed return eould be for horchata nd her customer service! ALSO the Birria was Dry!! DON'T RECOMMEND!
Good food, good portions. Service is not so good. Not so friendly.
Heidi did provide great Experience BUT Miranda has a LOT to Learn how to Receive Customers !!!!! Heidi dio una Experiencia PERO Miranda le falta mucho como atender a los clientes !!!!!
Service is really bad there only 1 attendant
2 as soon as you walk theirs dirty plate on the side as soon as you walk in food was ok some was good the other needed more flavor
And the worse part the microwave stuff omg not happy at with restaurant
Expensive, food quality poor and taste like oil got carne asada plate, instead of sauted they were oily, a 2 weeks ago they were giving chips and salsa when I went this time, the rude waitress told they stopped serving chips and salsa 3 years ago, never going back again, only just to get the panera cheese, but not to eat there anymore. Paid 61.00 for 2 plates, drinks and the cheese.
If you want authentic Sinaloan food this is the place. The food was amazing reminded me of my mom's cooking and family parties. If you want a good fresh cooked meal this place is on point. Don't expect 5 star service.... But then again I didn't go there for that.
I give them a 1 because some of the food is good but the service is horrible. The waitresses shame the waitress industry. Specially the tall "blond" with extensions.
She gets bothered if you ask her for more coffee or sugar or napkins.. she's really bad. They recently hired a waitress assistant guy and although he's nice he immediately forgets so he never brings you what you ask for. Don't come here if you want good service.
