My car was broke into during thunderdome

It's really busy during commute times as it serves the Sounder and the light rail downtown but it's got nice wide lanes and a lot of spaces. You may have to park up towards the top if you're not early in the morning. Best thing is it's free, which is very unusual these days...

Its great that a large, and always growing, city can offer free parking with a spacious, clean and safe location. You can park here for your Seattle commute or take the free trolley into downtown's shopping, business, antique store and theater districts. Wish Seattle had such an option... but they do not.....

Eventually this will become a major regional transportation hub. Unfortunately the new Amtrak station is not being used yet due to the horrible accident last year. The cool thing about the place is the Frieght House Square. It has great specialty stores and food court. This is not only a "transit center" for Pierce Transit and Sound Transit express buses but also a "park and ride." There are 2 parking garages here. But go early because they fill up in the morning. If this happens, you can sometimes park on the street (Puyallup Ave).

The 5 stars is due to it being close to downtown Tacoma. Also it is free to park. Parking is open 24 hrs. Within walking distance to Painting Panda Pottery studio in Freighthouse Square. Also walking distance to Tacoma Dome. Bus transit hub is right next to the garage. Also sounder Train and Amtrak are located across the street in Freighthouse Square. The Tacoma Link (Orange Line) lightrail is right next to the parking garage.

The negatives are during the day it often gets parked up completely in both large gsrages. Get there early if it is a weekday. There are permits available for people that need it. Typically you can get a space in the 3 hour spots and the very limited 4 hour spots in the garage.

The Tacoma Dome station has free parking for all train riders and bus riders I appreciate this, as I used to take the train everyday to Seattle for work today I'm not so lucky and my work requires me to drive but I often stop by the station at the freighthouse square to grab some of the best fish in Tacoma and burgers and Indian food

Great place to park for a concert at the Tacoma Dome. It did cost $20 cash to park. However, just a short walk to the dome.

Recently went to a sold out concert at the Tacoma Dome. Rate at this garage was much better than other near by options. Took a while to get out of the garage after the show but thats just how it goes when you go to a show with a large turn out.
