This is a nice Taco Bell location that is conveniently located near the Eastern side of Dubuque and near to Hy-Vee. The drive-thru staff is friendly and quick to prepare our meal. Inside you place your order at a kiosk which has the ability to switch to Vegetarian mode.
If you’re a Doordasher, I HIGHLY recommend that you do not accept orders from this location. The lobby was closed on a Tuesday afternoon for no apparent reason, and the drive thru was a 30+ minute wait. While waiting at the window, I noticed that the reason it was taking so long to receive my order was because the worker was texting/playing on her phone. Not acceptable. Not only that, but they didn’t give me the customer’s drink. (It showed up in the dasher app as a food item, but on the receipt it showed up as a drink. They knew that the order included a drink, even though I didn’t.) So, I had to make a 15 minute drive BACK to this Taco Bell to demand the drink that they forgot. And even THAT took at least a 20 minute wait because no one was willing to acknowledge that I was there. HORRIBLE place to work with. My dasher rating decreased after this, and it was entirely their fault. DO NOT GO HERE.
I’ve been eating TB from Hillcrest but finally made the switch to the down town location since the decline in quality at the hillrest location. I gotta say downtown quality has improved by 10 fold what ever yall doing keep it up ! Yall deserve a raise I hope management sees this and gives yall a raise. FYI tho yall forgot my chips but still gave me nacho cheese ???? but how can I be mad with a perfect roll like that ????
Parking lot was completely dark. If I didn't know there was a Taco Bell there, I would have driven by never seeing it. I have been in the restaurant business, I know timers get messed up, but that should only be for one day. Placed my order in the drive thru. Pulled up to the Window and the cashier was playing on his phone with his food resting on something as he had that kicked back look. He finally opened the window and all I heard was explicit lyrics. Having music on is one thing, but the volume and song choice isn't appropriate for work. I ordered a crunch wrap because it was easy to eat while driving. I only took maybe 4 bites. Something was foul, maybe the beef or lettuce - something but I even told my daughter in-law that if I get sick tomorrow, it is the taco bell I ate. I will go back to Taco Bell, but maybe not that one. I was only driving thru, Madison to Des Moines, so it will be easy not to return to that location.
Worst taco bell I've ever been to. Waited for over half an hour in the drive through on a Saturday afternoon, absolutely horrible rude service, had to explain what I wanted twice and they still screwed up my order. My advice is to avoid this one at all costs.
Bathroom is disgusting, filthy and smells like deep fried dead animal! Dining room was covered in filth dust and dirt everywhere includ8ng on napkins and condiments. Whole building smells foul. Servers were decent other than refusing to physically take our order only giving us the option to use kiosk to order. I honestly nearly vomited from the overpowering smell in the restroom and will never return to this building again. If health inspector entered this building they would likely be shut down immediately! We were going to dine in but we decided to go elsewhere when we started realizing how disgusting the place was and canceled our order due to fear of getting violently sick if we ate their product!
They have Terrible customer service. This is not a kid friendly environment. I walked in wanting to order and nobody said anything for 2 minutes. The music they were playing was so provocative I was sick.
Lackluster attitude and forgot part of order. When I called to ask about it they answered the phone like their personal cell. Not thank you for calling taco bell to give the indicator of the right number dialed. So needless to say I got charged and didn’t get my full order.
