Good food at a good price. The indoor seating is tight. Recommend a table outside if possible. The staff speaks English if you're unable to read the menu. We went with a bacon and egg sandwich and a ham, cheese, and onion omelette.
We live in Tongeren and we were very intrigued to eat in a restaurant that we haven't had the opportunity to visit yet.
I must say that I am deeply shocked how horrible the food and the service were. On top of that, I spent all day in bed from stomachache!
My mother in law invited us on Thursday, 28 July 2022 for family dinner, praising the tasty cod! She has already been couple of times and said food was delicious. So we went on Thursday 28 July looking forward to eating great food!
We arrived and waited for an eternity to get drinks. Then we waited another eternity for a shared plate of tapas (30 minutes).
We all ordered cod with mashed potatoes. There were two other tables with guests so total 10 persons. When we asked why it takes so long, he told us that they were very busy with cafe! What does a cafe have to do with our dinner!. We don't care about that.
The whole time we could hear noise from the kitchen, laughter and shouting from the café side, staff walking up and down, talking loud on the phone and going out for a smoke at the table outside the restaurant.
After 1 hour - ONE HOUR - we got tiny little piece of cold, defrosted fish which was not cooked entirely, with cold sauce and cold mashed potatoes! Absolutely disgusting!!!
We tried to nicely communicate that we were not satisfied with the food or service and asked the waiter to convey the message to the owners that we were not happy with defrosted, cold, uncooked fish at the price that we paid for.
The next day, I had cramps the whole day and terrible stomachache.
My mother in law was very sad and apologetic to us but it was not her who had to apologise! That is not how to treat a regular or any guest!

We enjoyed our brunch and coffee here. Service was friendly and attentive though did wane when it got busy. It was nice to warm up on the patio under the heat lamps in the -4° cold.
Excellent location if you are visiting to go antique shopping.
We would visit this restaurant again.
Attentionate service, superb spaghetti bolognese. Nice view, covered warmed or open terrace. Excellent Belgian beer choice and an annexed restaurant.
Very good service, nice atmosphere, staff friendly and helpful. Will be back!
Do not eat here. Really bad service. Cold sandwish took over an hour to get.
