Overall a very delicious meal! Salad was alright but basic, and I’m a vinaigrette-lover!! stamp of approval. The meat was well-cooked and the green peppery sauce got me curious…. Not addictive or perfect, but very tasty. Fries were genuinely excellent, if you like them quite thin. But the vibe and interior was not great… just lonely and old-fashioned in a cheugy way.
Food was ok but did not worth the price and wait. The meat is good but not exceptional, the secret sauce is ok. The first batch of fries were not good, second one was ok, but this is Brussels, not Paris, fries should be exceptional.
One of the most awkward experiences ever. A full restaurant without any staff, only a couple of “ drunk friends” we guess who were helping out. A dog walking around in the restaurant. The owner and chef walking every 30’ to the front door to smoke. Extremely loud french chansons. Cold meat, “home made” fries made in terrible old fat. And their special ‘protected recipe’ sauce, eh, i dont know what they think. Overpriced and tourist trap. If you want to have a good time, don’t go here :-). Bon appetit!
New place @ Sablon. If you’re a carnivore, you’ll love it.
Steak Angus were quite good , but the killers were the fries & sauce. Yummmyy !.
The service was good, fast and friendly.
Might be an idea to include a lighter option on the menu or maybe a soup & salad. I live in the neighbourhood and will definetely visit more, if I can have something lighter for lunch time.
Perfect service, the waiter was really kind and helpful ! We're from Nigeria and were really happy and surprise to see that he was very interested and questioning about our culture !
Food was perfect ! Amazing sauce!
Average experience.
1. Salad was bathing is dressing and not very delicate
2. Steak was overcooked and hard. Average at best
3. The chef came to explain and tried to convince that the meat was good by showing us pack of plastic packed meat. He even tasted our meat at the table (which was very odd to be honest) and said it was perfect despite visible difference (mine was grey and hard) - even for someone who’s not an expert.
The worst part was that there was no apologies or effort to remedy the situation and our bad experience. It was almost as if we were at fault and we where left with a ‘we do not now better’ feeling and thus should accept it.
Relaxed place to have lunch. French atmosphere. Great Fries with iconic sauce.
Great owner/Chef and great staff. Food was amazing (steak and fries) and chef special broccoli soup was yummm
