I has cordon bleu with some iced tea. The food was great. The owner was very nice and eager to serve you and to make you experience just perfect.
We do not speak any French and there were no English menus, but staff was super friendly and helpful, so we managed to make the order.
The food was delicious.
We left the restaurant about half an hour ago and had to pop a review up. The food was fab (steak was cooked perfect, spicy scampi pasta was delicious) and the waitress on was so lovely. Despite her not speaking a word of English and us absolutely butchering the French language, we managed to communicate and she was trying her absolute hardest to understand what we were saying with the warmest smile on her face. Definitely recommend and will go back tomorrow before flying home.
The atmosphere was nice, the prices where somehow reasonable, the service was superb and good... However, the food was horrible, their steak was uncheawable, we were a group who ordered steak ranging from medium to well done and non of the steaks could be chewed. I don't really know what went wrong, because the steak was really like what we ordered, so it was probably the cut who was really not suitable for being a steak. It felt like we were chewing sandals.
The two stars are for the service and atmosphere, they have a lot of local guests so I hope it was a once in a life time experience for them.
I'm very confused about the great reviews - we were three people ordering two different pasta dishes, and they all looked like the exact same dish (except one had shrimp and the others had chicken). The food was rather bland and the white wine was room temperature and without much flavour. I'm honestly unsure if fresh ingredients were even used? I'd give the place 2 stars because the staff really tried to keep us satisfied, but landed on 1 nonetheless.
Fantastic staff. Really helpful and friendly. We enjoyed all the dishes we tried over 3 evenings. It is seemed to be very popular with the local community. This is a zero alcohol restaurant

really good fish and good waiter.
the really good: my cod was among the best i've ever had.
the good: my wife really enjoyed her bolognese.
the whatever: service could have been a little better (slow at times), but i think that may come with time.
verdict: i'd go back for the fish and i want to try the moules (which they were out of)
