My Dad took me here.
the meat was good, mixe viande.
dessert average, not very good.
My Dad likes the guys attidude, very friendly.
limoncello for free at least.
the sparkling water was nice, with ice cubes and lemon slice.
Classic Belgian brasserie that serves up great food in an authentic atmosphere.
Feel discriminated as Asian customers. Waited for more than 20 mins without any services and the waiter is rude enough to hit us with dirty plates when we enter on purpose. Better go if you are local natives :)
Left after waiting for 20 mins to order something but no one came to us at all (even got more than 5 times passed by by waiters)
As an American visiting Belgium for the first time, I feel it's a shame that the hostile atmosphere created by the staff of Le Lion Belge will forever linger in my memory of what has otherwise been a pleasant trip so far.
The host was courteous enough to seat us at a dirty booth, and in the process, a waiter had welcomed me with a collision of dirty plates to my back. The waiter was only bothered to let out an annoyed "excusez-moi, sorry" as he glared at me and continued past to the kitchen. It was a slow Wednesday night, leaving fellow guests to wonder if this was intentional or not.
After 20 minutes from being seated, not a single waiter could be bothered to take our order. That's a shame since the pictures on Google and the food on other guests' plates seemed really appetizing. But perhaps the issue here is a matter of perception. Perhaps Le Lion Belge's food is merely a sightseeing attraction for tourists visiting Belgium and is only best left for locals to enjoy. We quietly departed without having ordered anything and found neighboring restaurants more willing to serve food to eat, not to just see.
Fantastic experience, waiter named Nikita was super friendly and welcoming despite arriving an hour before closing time. Food was excellent! I will be back
My topic of the day is that you will be judged by appearance.
My Cousin and I had dinner at the le Lion Belge Restaurant. It was a recommendation of our hotel. The location was pretty good and the waiter with the gray hair and white shirt was very welcoming. He talk to us in French :) so we tried it too haha. Let’s come to dinner. I’ve got a hot goat cheese salad with honey and my cousin got Flemish carbonade (like Goulash). The goat cheese was very good but the salad wasn’t really special. The price wasn’t worth it. The Flemish carbonade was very fatty so it wasn’t that good as well. The classic Pinot Gris 2020 was really really good so try it. It’s worth it!! When we asked for a bottle, we were only looked at diagonally as if we couldn't afford it. So he repeat at two times….. When the waiter gave us the dessert card even though we didn't want anything, he let us sit for another 45 minutes and ignored us. It was the same as we wanted to pay. We had to get up and go to the front. The waiter with the black hair and beard was very inexperienced, rude and disrespectful.
Very good food and a nice and cozy place to eat, all people are very polite and always with a smile. The food is delicious.
Food OK, not super. Service below par: waiting 1,5 hour for starters, then another 1,5 hours for a main course. In the mean time no staff in sight for ordering any extra drinks
