We booked last minute for Easter weekend, looking for a simple, dog-friendly location in the Ardennes. The price of the room was very affordable, yet we realized later our booking didn't include breakfast. We didn't know what to expect but had been to other towns in the Ardennes before and hoped this would be a similar experience. Good food, clean simple room, friendly service. We were pleased and would go there again!|Room: older furniture and paint colors but who cares? Tile floors, ideal in my opinion for muddy boots and dog paws. We didn't have anyone come in to tidy the room. Perhaps they would've done it during a busier time or if we'd have asked. No issue for us but could've been had we been muddier. Mattress on the bed was a bit hard but otherwise a pleasant room. Easy door access for the dog to go outside.|Breakfast: ended up being 12€ per person. See photos. I thought it was well worth it and was not disappointed. Fresh bread and plenty of choice, and they offered to boil eggs or make an omelette on the spot. They used pieces of French bread to make French toast. A real treat. Good strong coffee too.|Dinner in restaurant: simple dishes like stews, beef skewers, pasta... All were fine. Great red wine choice of the house.|Staff: The couple that appears to run it are friendly. They offered our dog water every time we came downstairs for a meal or for drinks after a hike. They also had dog treats handy, she was completely happy there. They offered to carry some things upstairs and gave us a hiking map to borrow. Good recommendations on which were easy and which were more difficult.
We are a family of three, from England, on a small road trip in holiday October, we are staying in Hastiere and at the bottom of the road is this restaurant. The owner was very accommodating and we worked through the menu together with his little English and our poor French. He was very accommodating and generous with his time with us. The food was tasty and amazing. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. The views surrounding it are very breathtaking, leaving a peaceful vibe.
We Booked this hotel 8 weeks in advance as we needed to be within 10KM of this hotel for urgent appointment nearby. We were only informed 8 hours before leaving that Hotel had been double booked 'Really in this day and age!!' Nearest hotel offered was over 1 hour away! This is terrible customer service so BE WARNED you may suffer the same fate! So book elsewhere to be safe
Cancelled reservation with less than 24 hours to go due to overbooking; we were already en route. No alternatives in the region due to busy holiday weekend; our reservations were made over three months ago. Had to cancel our holiday due to lack of options.||||Disgraceful behavior; cannot understand how a business is permitted to operate in this fashion. Seems like our family are not the only ones to suffer the consequences this business' poor management.

Ce mardi 8/9/20,nous y avons passé 1 nuit . Chambre spacieuse avec TV, Personnel ultra dévoué, habituellement le resto était fermé le mardi mais le propriétaire a proposé de nous préparer un plat pour le soir sans gluten ni produit laitier pour ma compagne. De plus, il m'a proposé un dessert délicieux ( 2 crêtes avec glace vanille et crème fraîche) Resto non gastronomique mais repas soigné. Rapport qualité- prix très intéressant
