Best WLM Reviews

Unfortunately the food has deteriorated since my last visit 5 years ago - both the Yassa and Liboke were about the blandest I've ever tasted. I'd looked forward to my return visit all weekend and was disappointed - the iconic, historic environment was the same, the service was great but the food......what a huge let down. Seems L'Horloge du Sud has chosen to cater for the non-African market - that was the clientele, reflected by bland food - next time I'll keep walking to somewhere more authentic but please improve!
(Oh, and the Akwaaba starter was just bland terribleness)
Delicious food and great service! I wish the band would have played but apparently they are doing so from May onwards. Worth it.
Unpleasant. We came as a group. "Suggestions" communicated in advance became the only three choices. These three dishes resembled more canteen food than a decent restaurant dish, not to talk about an exotic one: a chicken leg supposed to have been prepared with peanut juice, but nobody could taste this, with rice (a side that's to be paid on top, one of several potential choices in the menu, certainly not the most African one, nobody was asked which side or even consulted which would be the most tasty, special ...), a bit of fish advertised to be with a lime sauce that nobody could identify, under a heap of onions, with rice (again), and a vegetable stew. Nothing tasted for much, leave alone anything special. Anything else from the menu or daily menu was refused, overheard and ignored.
Great service and atmosphere. Food is so flavorful and relatively good price. Although i think it is usually expected to get rice or any form of carb with the kinds of plates they serve, so keep in mind that a 13-15 euros dish will also add up to 3 euros extra for rice or any side. I loved their hibiscus drink and their brazilian plate!
"This was our first time trying African cuisine and we couldn't have picked a better restaurant than this one. The experience was fantastic. The service was warm and welcoming, and the staff spoke excellent English. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the friendly recommendations from the staff. Personally, I ordered the Dibi with the Tango Gingembree drink and both come highly recommended. The meat was incredibly tender and the spices used in the dish were amazing.
A major highlight of this restaurant is the background music, which perfectly complemented the food and the overall experience. The music was great and really enhanced our dining experience."
Reasonable priced French-African restaurant in a lively neighborhood. The food was tasty. I would definitely come back and try something else from the menu.
Honestly just a great place with a nice atmosphere, nice service and good and interesting food and drinks for decent prices! Definitely worth going out of the city for!
There was one vegetarian option and it was very tasty. The others really liked the moqueca.
