I was there for Thanksgiving dinner. I drove from Nuermberg. I was a little disappointed. Some of the food was real dry. I couldn't find any gravy. And the pie selection was low.
I ate the yakisoba entree tonight and my body rejected it. It tasted fine but I threw it up. I also had a really bad upset stomach. This is not the only bad encounter I’ve had with this dfac. I’ve found mold on my waffles 3 times since I’ve been here and mold on the Cantaloupe/ honeydew melon fruits.
They definitely have better food. Stays pretty busy and have to stay in line obviously but their service is pretty decent. And they do have variety of food choices and definitely lots and lots of breads.
The staff is very rude, I would not suggest speaking to the supervisor they are very rude as well, the portions are very small and if you ask for bigger portions they give you bad attitude even though your paying for it, it's unfortunate that we don't have a better choice of food overall and I'm very disappointed.
Not a bad DFAC as such things go. Intermittent supply of come products and dessert is disappointing but the food is decent and rarely if ever contains grey mystery meat. Excellent salad bar and the Nespresso machine is where it's at for coffee. If AFN is your jam then you won't be disappointed here. Make sure you have a mask for COVID precautions

terrible food always the same things never any changes.
the new "renovation" just added some furniture to make the dingy old place look new. they cant boil eggs for there lives. The handling of raw meat and cooked meat is so poor they left a full rack of burgers on the floor next to the serving station for a whole lunch service. ICE here's your next target on terrible service and poor customer service.
So I'm leaving 1 star because I cant leave 0 stars. This place reminds me of the period of my life when I was homeless and eating at the shelter, except the food at the homeless shelter was way better. I will say, I'm getting pretty shredded with my sweet new low calorie diet...and I'm not even on a diet; I'd just rather starve than eat here. It's not all bad, the water is pretty good. The ice is pretty cold. Also, if you like eating the same food every day, you'll love this place. A quick warning, if you suffer from any sort of depression, the options for food in the main line will probably aggravate your condition. While I am depressed on a daily basis being here, I find myself getting more depressed staring at the main line options. I find bringing a flask and getting a strong buzz on helps with food taste and possibly killing any giardia or organisms in the food. All in all, I wish I was homeless again and eating back at the shelter. If you're reading this I'm probably dead.
