The steak sandwiches are fantastic. They are very rich in flavor, the taste is very good. I have not had very many cheese steak sandwiches, maybe half a dozen in my life, but I can say these sandwiches are one of the top two I have ever had.
Most people takeout but seating can be a hassle if you're wanting to sit down and enjoy the sandwich, but they do have a good number of seats.
They have other sandwiches also but I have only had the cheese steak classics. Why take a risk when you know you have a winner at the top of the menu.
I have been in love with this place since I first came in years ago! As soon as you walk in you are transported back up north with the traditional sandwich shop vibes and smell! The fries are always perfectly cooked but the real cornerstone of the place is the AMAZING cheesesteaks!!!! They are by far the best around! The meat is always perfectly cooked with the perfect amount of melted cheese throughout (most places can’t get this right). The hours might throw some people off being that they close for an hour from 10-11 and only open until 3 but it is so worth it to get here early and enjoy this gem of a place!
Philly boy here. Born and raised. Went to school with will smiths niece. (Only added for the song reference)… For Florida this is as good as it gets. Great food. Cheesesteak was great. They would do well in Philly and fit right in. With the vibe, decor, decorations, atmosphere and food you forget your not in Philadelphia for a minute or two. The rolls are 9/10 but the meat was 10/10. Loved it. I live here full time now and if I ever need a taste of home I now know where to find it.
Best patty melts ever... and their hoagies rock too! Hard working staff for hard working folks in the neighborhood- it is simple, direct, and made to order from the crew that has been there for years. It feels nostalgic in Charlie's, and it is what it is- simple, delicious sammies.
Just found a new favorite lunch spot! Great food, quick, tasty. Definitely would recommend!
Fast service, friendly faces, good steak and cheese and fries. Was to hungry and forgot to take a pic.
I love this place the cheesesteak is the best around. The only thing I would like to see them do is put up a sign that says ( please don’t sit at a table until after you order) and this is not the restaurant’s fault its just inconsiderate people. Foe example i was there today ordering with 5 people behind me and one table available, a man and woman walks in the door and the woman walks straight to the table while her husband got in line to order. THATS RUDE!!!!!
We have been going to Charlie’s for years! Great food and Service, but on recent visits we’ve seen a price increase and a big drop in the meat portions of the streak and cheese Hogies! Where’s the meat??? Friends of ours said the same thing, it’s all bread.
