My credit card charged for another tables meal. 73.00 dollars, owner Steve told me it was my lucky day?? Steve said he reversed the charge 2x and it will show in my acct. it has been 7 days and my acct has not been credited for this mistake. Nothing pending at my bank!! I called Steve at Charlie’s diner and he told me he can’t see on his end and there is NOTHING further he can do for ME!! He refused to give me the 73.00 in cash back to me, absolutely NOT he stated!! Steve hung up on me and refused to speak to me again on this matter!! Very Rude, unacceptable behavior. Careful if you pay with a card in this disgusting place!! Guess Steve’s not making enough money so he has to RIP people off. Mistakes can happen but being charged for another tables meal and mistake NOT corrected is a totally different matter! Very poor! I wouldn’t recommend bringing my dog here. Or wait perhaps only a dog because STEVE owner Charlie’s Diner is a DOG!! Then again every DOG has their DAY!!
We have been in a few times in the last couple of years since moving to the area. We heard mixed reviews about the food and service. However, we have had great food and good service with every experience. On a busy weekend morning it is a little loud but I think that is expected in a packed restaurant.
My wife called in our order and picked up. They put everything in one container, no partitions to prevent water from steamed items getting into other items - like fries. So, we had disgusting soggy fries! Called the owner and he wanted us to drive back (30 minute drive) to the restaurant for a replacement - refused to give us a credit. When my wife let him know her disappointment with this he said 'do you want me to go back and yell at the kitchen staff?!'. My advice is to avoid this place - owner needs to learn how to treat customers properly.
I've been going to Charlie's for years now, and I can say, I've never had a bad experience. The food is always delicious (big fan of the steak tips), service is always friendly and quick, and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend checking them out, especially for breakfast.
Went there for mother's day 2024. Was told no reservations was needed. Waited a little over 2 hours for seating. people came in after us and were seated I asked the waitress what was going on she said since we were a big group we had to wait so we decided to leave after 2 hours
This place is absolutely amazing! The high ceilings with open beam construction really give off that barn/Adirondack cabin feel. The bloody Mary's were delicious and the brunch food was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend any of the eggs Benedict or specialty omelets. Can't wait to go back!
Good fresh food. Was looking forward to eating in the old train carriage but it appears not to be used anymore
We stop in here in our way to the cabin. Good food, drinks and they get busy. Service is pretty quick, today we were able to sit and order everything within 8min, nice.. My wife had a bourbon bramble martini, funny never thought she would have anything boudin, but it’s good. Local favorite for me is the Wachusette blueberry ale. Ship in for a drink or appetizer, all good. Ever since they expanded, the bar are looks great. Enjoy..
