I have been looking forward to going here to try the new place being I remember the old places were pretty good. They have a lunch special that changes daily that I tried today. It was disappointing. The hamburger steak was fine but the mashed potatoes tasted like they came straight out of a box mix. The macaroni & cheese tasted and looked just like Kraft. Green beans were OK. Roll was cold which I’ve never been a fan of. Seen several people eating breakfast that looked pretty good. It’s a really nice place and the service and waitress were both very good. Will try again but think I will go for breakfast next time
Wow Extremely comfortable atmosphere, and the food was absolutely delicious! The home fries were just slightly crispy golden and had diced green peppers and onions, and went very nicely with my 1/2 lb double cheeseburger. Amara was my server and she was extremely attentive and very personable. Will definitely be back to try today's special sometime which is actually my favorite thing usually (Reuben sandwich) but I already had my mind set on the cheeseburger with everything when I walked in. Now I know I'll be eating the Reuben when my group comes in next Tuesday!
10-30-23 .. We didn’t make it on opening day but came about a week later .. I knew before going it wasn’t going to be the diner style feel so I did prepare myself ???? I did like the cozy atmosphere although I think the tables are a little tight in there ????????♀️ when full . I seen many elderly ( especially with canes ) struggling through the maze & those who are on the larger size ???? They still have amazing food prepared by the same staff ❤️ Many of the employees from 23rd st came over .. I would have taken more pics of the inside but they were pretty full ????
The new Coram's place is different from their other locations. Ordered the chopped, chicked salad for $13.50, expecting something filling and satisfying. Was given iceberg lettuce and tomatoes on a plate (it was a side salad with chicken). Do Better! The server offered to compensate with the exchanging, but the wait would have been too long. The atmosphere was modest but a bit tight and loud for my liking. Service was okay.
Great food, good value, large portions! Absolutely loved the place and our server! Very open space, so it's a bit loud when busy.
I can not say enough good things about Coram's! My family has been going to Coram's for 30 years now. We know live about 2 hours away but we stop here EVERY TIME we come into town. The new restaurant is beautiful and we met the owner and his wife last time. Wonderful people! The workers are always great and the food is fantastic and always has been. You can't go wrong with anything you order it is all great! And they have fantastic sweet tea! If you have never been to Coram's please give it a try you won't be sorry. If you have been there you don't need to read this because you know how great it is! Charlie ... please never change a thing!
Drove all night and needed a place for breakfast. We found Charlie's by chance. Obviously, it was a popular place since the parking lot was full and people were waiting. One thing that is an inconvenience is its a seat yourself place even at their busiest times. Everyone had breakfast plates, except for me. I opted for a burger and fries. The food was good. It wasn't anything spectacular, but it held its own. Service was good and the place was clean.
Honestly not a bad place. Very casual, made me feel like I'm back in my home town. Food was good, service was alright, felt rushed to order and pay. Honestly nothing bad to say. Nothing that makes me say OMG. We will be back. Prices are great and it was a very clean environment. I think they need more options on the menu as well. Other than that 5 stars in my book!
