Best WLM Reviews
I have been coming here for over 20 years, no joke. It does not matter if we sit at the bar or on the floor, the service is amazing. If you do sit at the bar you catch a front row view of the chef absolutely killing it. Like seriously, if I am full it doesn't matter - watching them cook, I'm ordering something. But all the servers, bartenders and kitchen staff are top notch at a place that is comfy and welcoming. The place is full of regulars that are friendly and happy to be here every time. ????
Since moving here, we've been going here a lot. We always have a good time and good food. Waitresses are very nice and always busy. The cooks are great and very conscientious. To single any one employee out of these posts shows a lack of character and class on your part. Always a good time at Champs and expect it to continue, with super employees.
I'm 60 or so miles from home and stopped in to the establishment for Dinner. I had a Elk burger and French Fries. The food was a touch above average but my Waitress Pam was worth the whole visit. Excellent service , always a full drink and she is a very personable person. She made the stop worth it. I hope they take good care of her she is extraordinary.
This is your "TV Show" Bar with great food. I've been going to Champs for years. The decor looks like 1980s retro inspired vibes. I still expect to see Tom Cruze behind the bar mix drinks up with acrobatics. Its warm friendly environment has a neighborhood edge that keeps it relaxed. They are known fire burgers, but you really can't go wrong. Give it a shot.
I love this place and I wish I could give it a good review but Pam the waitress is so incredibly rude that I cannot recommend anyone visit this establishment when she is working. She seems to hold grudges from her personal life against people who are just coming in to enjoy a beer and will instruct the bartender not to serve them. She is extremely rude and short-tempered. I hope that this issue can be resolved so I can update my review because otherwise, this is a great local bar with good food and good people.
We placed a Togo order and the lady on the phone seemed to have better things to do than help us with placing an order. As for Champs having the so called “best burgers in Livingston County” I have to disagree. While the patty itself was flavorless I added on guacamole and it came in a pre packaged pack that I could buy at my local grocery store and that itself didn’t taste great. The burgers came with chips and here I was expecting delicious chips from a highly rated pub/bar….we got 2 bags of lays potato chips, also something I could have bought at the store. I was not at ALL impressed with the food or service. I could have made this at home and BETTER.
We are regulars at Champs. Bring back the Chicken special and dich the fajita Chicken. We come there for the Chicken special. Bring it back please. We want our favorite sandwich back!!!!! Thanks for listening but I bet you are getting a lot of complaints on the removal of that great sandwich. Hope it is back when we return. DAVE and ELAINE.
We met some friends for dinner. My husband was in the mood for bar food. Everyone but me had a burger and they all thought they were pretty good. I had chicken strips and they were ok. Really couldn't tell the difference between the fries and the chicken tenders. We had cowboy bites first and they were awesome. Friends had the southwestern eggrolls and we loved them too. Service is super slow but she was very friendly. I'm thinking it's probably a good place to go for lunch.
