This authentic Mexican food hits different. It is connected to a non-descript Shell gas station, but don't let that fool you. The restaurant is counter service, with a couple of tables inside and a few picnic tables outside. The menu is straight forward, with tacos, burritos, quesadillas, burgers, and wings. I ordered the chicken quesadillas and Chalo fries, not knowing what to expect. The quesadillas were hot and fresh, with plenty of meat and cheese accompanied by fresh jalapenos and cilantro. There were two quesadillas, and both were huge. I barely finished the first, and split the second with my wife one for dinner. The Chalo fries were perfectly seasoned, with garlic, parmesan, BBQ sauce, and cilantro. I shared these with my co-worker, because again, it was a large portion. The customer service was on point, and I was greeted with a smile. I have added Chalo to my work lunch list and will be returning to try the birria tacos next. This is truly a hidden gem, but I am sure it won't be for long!
New find, New love. I had a chicken burrito and let me just say the portions are big and so perfectly flavored. Very authentic, cozy and the service is amazing. The chips and queso also amazing. Fries are cajon flavored and buttery, crunchy. They have birria tacos and quesabirria which amazing job on that as well. If you are looking for tamales this is a great place for those. The horchata is so delicious too. I loved the overall experience and food here. Must visit for sure. Picture is of half the portion we were too quick to eat these delicious dishes. Mango habanero sause so good too.
I never review places, but wow this spot is fire.
Legit Mexican food with great flavor and lots of options. Customizable no problem with super friendly, chill, helpful staff. Catchy Spanish music videos playing and a cooler full of delicious glass bottle drinks.
And you won’t even break the bank! Come out paying about what you do at any fast food chain.

Finally found AUTHENTIC Mexican food and it is delicious. We had Birria tacos, chicken & beef tacos and pozole. ???? The customer service was A1 and Chris made sure we were taken care of. Although they forgot our fries, we called and it was no problem at all getting that taken care of. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND CHALOS!

We tried Chalo's for the first time the other night, and we liked it enough to return. My husband ordered the Birria Taco plate, which was $13.99 if I remember correctly (I'll share pictures of the menu). He said they tasted right but could've used more flavor. He's Mexican, so I'm sure he's extra picky about birria tacos that are full of flavor and actually look red and juicy. These were red enough. They come with the broth on the side as well. He also ordered 3 Jalapeño "tacos." They're basically Jalapeños fried in egg battle that coats the pepper. It comes with a chipotle sauce.
My son loved his lemon pepper wings. I stole one big, fat wing, and it WAS good and full of flavor. 10 pieces for $12.99 for good-sized wings is worth it to me. I'll be ordering those next!
My burrito was big and tasted good. I added some of the birria broth from my husband's order so it could add more flavor to the carne asada. I enjoyed it as well. My son ate the rest of my burrito. It's a good size for $11.95.
All in all, we are satisfied and will be coming back!
A little heads-up; if you or your child are sensitive to noise, make sure you cover your ears or have your child wear noise canceling headphones when you're going inside since they have music blasting very loudly outside of the restaurant. I'm sure they do it to attract attention to the restaurant, but it's loud, so keep that in mind. I don't like loud noises, but I ignored it since I went inside anyway, but my daughter hated how loud it was and covered her ears as we made our way inside the restaurant.
The guy that took the order was nice and friendly. Good customer service is very important to us. I think he did a great job!
Everything was delicious! I got the chicken Tamal, chicken taco and hubby got chicken burrito and garlic fries. Seasoned well! These were moist soft fluffy Tamale. The aroma from the banana leaf is great addition! Service was excellent and friendly. I felt welcomed. It was very clean inside! Lots of drink selection as well!
The Birria tacos were absolutely delicious, and so was the broth, which made the tacos even better. The tacos themselves were loaded with tender and juicy beef, lots of cheese, cilantro, onion, with the juice soaked corn tortillas being fresh. Wish I had remembered to take a picture, but their food looks exactly like it does on the menu. This is definitely My go to whenever I'm in the area.
