We had shrimp and grits catfish and the mac & cheese burger along with the shrimp basket. It was all exceptionally good. They also had a really good collar greens and fried okra. Jessica Carr waitress was exceptionally nice and the chef came out as well to check on our meal. The service was exceptional and the food was great/ cannot recommend this place enough.
Really pleased with our visit here. Our waitress (Jessica, I think?) was very busy but we never felt unattended. The food was awesome. We had previously heard of this restaurant but it is not local for us. When we passed it we gave it a try and even though it's about a 40 min drive for us we will be back. My husband had a burger with bacon mac and cheese while I had a pulled pork plate. Neither would be usual choices for either of us but we really enjoyed our meals. The sweet potato soufflé.....amazing! Thank you!
Went to dinner this evening with friends. The wings and alligator bites were delicious! Also had the best steak and cheese I've ever had! Hubby got the 8 piece fried chicken with okra and loved it and had leftovers to bring home to enjoy tomorrow! Waitress was awesome and very friendly. Had the peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream for dessert which was amazing. Will definitely be back! Thanks for opening up in Fort White! Best wishes for continued success!
I was at this restaurant with my wife and a couple friends a few days ago and we LOVED this place! A local dude who worked at a nearby tube/kayak rental place recommended it.......and when a local recommends it, that says something. Truly great food. My catfish fillet was massive and perfectly cooked and seasoned. All our dishes were great. Who woulda thought that a place this good would be in little Fort White!
Delicious food,shrimp alfredo was so delicious, my husband had gator nuggets and really loved them, great mac and cheese. The peach cobbler was the best I ever had! The food and dessert portion are huge. Met the owners and they are so friendly and by the time you leave you feel like family. I love this restaurant and will be coming back. Very clean and clean atmosphere and very friendly staff.
Tonight was the first time we tried this new restaurant. I had the 1lb garlic butter steamed shrimp with a baked potato. My husband had the gator tail plate with collard greens and fried okra. Everything was DELICIOUS! The collards were tender and full of flavor and they needed nothing added before eating them. The okra was fresh cut and crisp...not mushy like he has had other places. As awesome as the food is...Lady J is twice as awesome! She was very accommodating with seating that I needed. She is warm and friendly and after talking to her for a few minutes, you feel like you have known her for years. She brought samples of the mac and cheese. It was creamy, cheesy and super yummy. Then...she brought us a sample of peach cobbler. Warm, melt. In your mouth, scrumptious peach cobbler!!! When you go...GET THE PEACH COBBLER for dessert. It is a must have. The portions are good size and the food quality is fantastic. The prices are reasonable and in line with other restaurant's of the same quality. We had no issue paying the prices they asked for the food we got. We are very happy customers and will be returning again very soon! Thank.you Lady J for making our visit so enjoyable. Great service and wonderful food!! Catfish was light and crisp, fried okra was just as pleasing and the mac and cheese was delicious. Waitress brought us a sample of the greens and sweet potato souffle, both were yummy!! We were in town to tube the springs, we live south of Tampa, but will be back just to dine here again!!
I am so happy that Ft. White now has this restaurant! We spend a lot of time there, and always ended up eating at Subway. My husband and I have tried several different things. Everything was great...but I think that they really excel at their seafood, although, my husband always gets burgers. It is NOT particularly quick service because they make everything to order. If you are going to be in a hurry, you can call ahead and place your order. Very robust menu, and VERY tasty sides! Huge portions!
