We went here for Father's day while visiting my husband's family. Outside of it being extremely busy for the holiday it was a lovely experience.
The chips were great, warm, complementary and bottomless. The salsa was not too hot and had a great taste.
I ordered the steak and chicken fajitas and they were so large we had enough for 2 of us to eat for dinner the next night. My husband got the tostada compuesta. A large fried flour tortilla with choice of meat and all the fixings. My mother-in-law got a chicken burrito that was stuffed full of chicken. My father-in-law got chicken enchiladas.
Everything was good and prices were very reasonable. It was disappointing to find out they no longer give a veterans or military discount.
Honestly one of the best street tacos I've ever had. Will definitely be back to try the enchiladas!
Atmosphere was busy, but in no way did the staff look stressed, no unhappy or impatient faces! Wait staff wore masks and spoke so they didn't have to repeat themselves. My party of 7 were seated immediately upon arrival with no waiting. This was after we were treated indifferently by another nearby restaurant mind you. Initial drinks were ordered and delivered meals were taken and they were delicious, the mole sauce on their enchiladas was perfect. Dark but not burnt, and slightly bitter, blended with the rest of the dish. I have to day a pleasant note to the cleanliness of the men's bathroom. All in all a great experience!
I've been a regular at Casa Maria for Taco Tuesday gatherings with friends, and it's always been a blast. However, my recent experience was disappointing. Despite the usual good service and tasty food, the owner abruptly disrupted our evening by insisting we stop our card game and leave promptly after eating. This came as a shock, especially since the restaurant wasn't crowded, and other patrons were enjoying themselves. It's disheartening that Casa Maria, known for its friendly atmosphere, would prioritize strict rules over allowing customers to enjoy the camaraderie of dining with friends. Sadly, this experience has led me to reconsider Casa Maria as a go-to spot for Taco Tuesday gatherings. We will be looking for another Mexican restaurants to continue with our Taco Tuesday get togethers.
Our family came here for the first time after hearing impossible wait times for other restaurants. We walked into the door with three very cranky kiddos. Although they were very busy they managed to quickly get chips out to the kids. I had to step outside to comfort the baby and when I returned they had brought a plate of rice and beans to help keep the baby content until the food arrived. They also expedited the food, seeing our kiddos were irritable. The service was above and beyond on so many levels. The food was delicious. The environment was very clean and well maintained. Our family will definitely be returning.
Great service and atmosphere!
Finally a place that has menudo on Saturday and Sunday. That menudo dish was so good. I had it on Saturday at lunch with a friend and I returned on Sunday with my kids before my flight home.
We ate here for the first time last week, and I was impressed. The food was very good and the staff was great as well. I will be back.
