When I say lobe I mean love!! Who ever made the food, prepped, fried etc it was done with love yo . I got the beef and chicken pastelillos and rice. Hitting prefer the beef n rice I had to stop eating to have for lunch the next day . LOVE ❤️
I was in Delaware volunteering and decided to get PR food after because PA doesn’t have good ethnic food options. I am so glad decided to try Carmen’s! I got the pernil which tends to be dry at other places but not here. It was delicious, as well as the rice and peas, beans and plantains. Strongly suggest trying Carmen’s in you are looking for great PR food or want to try something different!
Went there today and sat and had lunch. The ladies were polite and friendly and the food was awesome. Its a small intimate spot but it was cool to see how they interacted with their regular patrons and visitors alike... I love small intimate places like this, where it feels like everyone are friends and family.
A lovely little place tucked away from the busy roads. The ladies who run it are nice and very humorous. I haven't had the chance to come back but I can't wait to. The food has deep, complex flavors as if the meat is cooked for hours. Go and order your next lunch from here so they can afford some air conditioning.
Love love love her food!!! This was our first time at Carmen’s. I haven’t had Puerto Rican cooking since 2017. Carmen’s food was everything I expected and more. Taste and flavor was amazing. I can’t wait till our next visit. People come from all over for her food. Worth the drive. ????
Highly recommend going here if you like Spanish Food. Because you will leave loving it and wanting more. We can’t wait to go back and bring my parents. The food was delicious and served nice and hot. The yellow rice and rice and beans taste just like my Abuela use to make. Everything was so fresh. The food tastes AMAZING !!! If I could give it 10 stars I would. You will not be disappointed with anything you order here.
The people who work here are very friendly and nice. They have street parking or you can parking in the laundromat across the street from the restaurant.

Food is relatively good. I did however have to comment on customer service and/or time management. Every time I order they say 20-30 min I come in 35 min and still am forced to wait longer. The attitudes are so so rude and unwelcoming. I also received an uncooked alcapurria de yuca. Reading her reviews confirms for me that the owner and her employees all have a serious attitude issue. Never seen any establishment go back and forth on reviews or get mad. Food is good just don’t like visiting because of the long wait times and rude and unwelcoming environment.
Closed. Location on Google has hours and said opened, traveled to the place and no lights no sign of life and no sign saying closed due to illness or anything. Irresponsible if the owner to not put up a sign informing customers of reason closed. People don't have time to travel places to find out they closed for whatever reason without at least a clearly visible note displayed in the door with an apology for the inconvenience. Running a business and expecting new and returning customers should start with respect forthe customer. Owner expecting a customer know something else is an issue is not acceptable and typical of some business owners that do not care about it's customers.
Get your act together or get out of the business if dealing with customers period. Zero star fir poor performance.
