Amazing food and phenomenal people. It's an hour drive but I'll definitely be back ????????. Everything was incredible!!!
Sorry, but this was by far the worst “Mexican food” I ever had. Everything was terribly bland. The rice even seemed like it was from a box and they just threw in random vegetables. I’m not even sure how beans can be cooked and not even taste like beans. The meat was not fresh and tasted extremely bland. On top of that, it was overpriced. My family loves Mexican food and we really wanted to like it but simply couldn’t finish it.
By far my favorite place in Newton to eat! Diverse menu and good daily specials. Great story of a hard working hometown family. Whether eating traditional American dishes or Mexican food they are sure to satisfy!
The food was freshly made & delicious! The chips are handmade as well. They are a little thicker than I prefer, but still a great flavor. I'm not one to normally get a chimichanga but it was calling out to me, and it didn't disappoint! The rice was light, fluffy and full of flavor. I see us returning for more in the near future.
Currently they are cash or cashapp only, but prices are definitely reasonable.

A party I attended recently in Newton was catered by Carlo's Kitchen. The food was hot and so delicious! Chips and Salsa. Burritos and Tacos. (Taco shell was absolutely wonderful) Queso, beans and rice. Pork Verde. Everything was exceptionly delicious! All people were professional! Great service and great food!
I was skeptical at first but this place is it. They really deserve every single one of their 5 star rating the food is amazing its fairly priced they sell in bulk in case you feel like spreading the joy. I saw they also sell tamales i am excited to come back to buy a dozen of those i even asked what i assume to be one of the owners what something was on the menu and they gave me a free sample! It was so delicious im not much into soup so i dont see myself getting any but if i was in the mood for soup that would hit the spot tldr this place is amazing authentic mexican food and you should definitely try this for your next meal
The food is always excellent! The staff are super friendly and always strive to please. By far our favorite place to eat!
If you haven't tried Carlos Kitchen And Cater, you need to check it out. They are a family owned business with fantastic food and are some of the nicest people you could meet. I know people who eat there almost weekly because the food is so good, and we've had them cater at our church a few times. They are located at 122 S. Kansas Ave in Newton. Check them out on Facebook... they have weekly specials and a nice variety. I haven't tried their cookies yet, but they caught my eye last night because they are huge and look amazingly delicious!!! Ps. Put your diet on hold and try the tortilla chips with salsa and cheese dip too!
