Wife and I came in Tuesday May 17th 2022 around 8:30am for breakfast. We have been here a couple times and the food is pretty good.
I have had the basic breakfast with eggs over medium, bacon, grit and biscuit. I also had the same breakfast another time with sausage. Both were cheap and good. 2 small issues I had the last time we were there: the sausage was very dry and the grits were like soup. I don't understand why people can't make fluffy/thick grits (this is Georgia!). Otherwise the food was good. They made fresh coffee which was excellent.
My wife had the steak biscuit once and grits the next time; she liked the steak biscuit but couldn't eat the grits.
Food is of good quantity for the price and the staff is always friendly and professional.
I'd give a 5 star but the grits have got to be better otherwise I'll have to go to the other diner on the square for my breakfast.
Nice, cozy little diner, with a decent breakfast at a good price. The food was pretty standard with choices of pancakes, biscuits, hashbrowns, eggs, bacon, sausage, etc. Our total bill for 3 breakfast was around $20.
The service was also good and our 2 year old tore up the silver dollar pancakes. The only real complaint we had was the bacon, which was pretty salty and a little too crispy for our liking. However, i do know people who like their bacon exactly this way, so chalk it up to personal preference.
We'll be back if we're in town for breakfast again.
Pulled up to the drive thur window yesterday and was completely ignored. I just sat at the window in my car waiting for someone to take my order.Apparently, this place is not as diversified as it should be or they just didn’t like the color of my money????. Fine by me. I will keep my money in my pocket and spend where I feel welcomed.
I absolutely have loved Capri over the decades! It’s a homemade breakfast! Homemade lunch! And the team welcomes you every time you walk in the door and they know you by name!
Fantastic gem of a breakfast restaurant. Great friendly service and the food is excellent. I highly recommend giving Capri a try when you’re in Cartersville.
The only feedback I have is I always get cold bacon. I lovey food hot and they pre cook it and serve it to you cold. Other than that the food is awesome and reasonable.
I love eating at this place but every time we come usually on a Saturday morning they are closed! There hours clear state mon to fr 6 to 2 and Saturday 6 to 12:30! This is like the 5 TJ time my husband and I have drove to Cartersville to eat here and no one is there and doers are locked not even a sign on the door with an explanation! Needless to say we will not be making this drive any longer! Do better Capri! Do better!
This is one of those places I don't want to tell anyone about so that it won't be too busy next time I go there, which will be soon because it was so good. Definitely will be back.
