Phenomenal pizza place, it's a bit hidden and I'm not sure how it's not more known but this is right up there with the new haven greats. I highly recommend. Waitresses we're also great with service, everything was taken care of and on top of it, not a long Wait.
I had the best time here! Came in for a quick business trip and popped in since it was close to the hotel & had great ratings! They did not disappoint! Service was AMAZING! Bartenders are PHENOMENAL! Ended the night hanging with the owner and one of their frequent customers Jen & her adorable dog Izzy! Escarole & bean pizza was delicious! Can’t wait to come back again!

Gross pizza.
We ordered a bbq chicken pizza with half bacon and it was made incorrectly (made with bacon on the whole pizza). They offered to remake us a new one which was nice, but it took another 20 mins which was aggravating as we had a screaming infant in the car. We got home and our pizza was like cardboard—incredibly dry and tasted like leftover pizza that had been sitting out for a week. The crust had so much flour, it looked cracked from being cooked. We’ve honestly had better pizza from dominos.
We’ve had not great pizza here before but decided to try again—this will be our last trip here.
Best pizza (and sauce) around, hands down ! Atmosphere is a ‘cheers’ environment. Very friendly and a great crowd. Not only is the pizza great but so are the dishes. Broccoli rabe is phenomenal.. and you will never find a better cauliflower crust either ! 10 out of 10 !

Used to order from Marco Pizzaria, but now Capone’s is my place! Huge portions (that’s a small calzone!) and affordable prices. Interior is clean and authentic. Rosemary our server was so sweet, friendly and attentive. Capone’s has taken over Branford’s pizza scene!
I’ve been here on multiple occasions with my family, the food and staff is great. However, the management needs to work on a more comfortable dining environment. The dining room is uncomfortably hot. On top of that, when I went to the bathroom I saw dead cockroaches. It’s sad to see what was once a great family pizza bar going down hill.
