Best WLM Reviews
The food is really authentic and fresh. The service is great. The family who owns the business is super approachable and hard working. I love sitting in the little shop top. Today, I got the beef/lamb plate, baklava and a drink ????. I will happily give them an hour of my labour every day.
My family gave this place 10 out of 10 stars! It is our favorite place in Berkley. The owner is so sweet and kind. We have tried pretty much everything on the menu! The quality and quantity are unbelievable. He was actually from Kurdish! Right on the top of the high mountain just like the painting in his restaurant. His salad is sooo good. I personally enjoy Adada (minced lamb with many herbs and vegetables in it.) It comes with rice, bread, salad, hummus, and yogurt sauce. My husband loves beef and lamb gyros. Do make sure you ask for his spicy sauce. You won't find this special homemade spicy sauce like this anywhere else! I just can't brag enough about this place!
Best gyro around! The lamb and beef plate is so good, the wraps are also amazing, the staff is so nice, the portions are more than enough and the prices are very reasonable.
This restaurant has become my go to place
Felafel wrap was very dry. Was not offered yoghurt or hot sauce to add myself. Felt like the $30 including tip for two was not good value. Would not return to eat here.
I was left very disappointed. The gyros was okay but a little bit dry and very little tzatziki. The service was really unfriendly to say the least and the woman behind the counter was rushing me to make my order. I would not recommend this place.
It's by Gypsy's and Kingpin Donuts, as Google Maps kinda hides this gem.
Hella good Mediterranean late spot in the Berkeley 'ghetto'! Made quick, but it ain't fast food, with the meat cooked proper, the right proportion of veggies, hummus, falafel, and sauce. The right amount of spice, both herbal and hot, the amount to where I taste everything without being hot bombed.
How I did this order was getting a veggie wrap, added lamb and white sauce, so that's cucumber, lettuce, tomato, onion, herbs, falafel, hummus, tahini, peppers, feta in a wrap It's the right move too. Made with that authentic Middle East love and care. This and Gypsy's are my favorite spots in Durant Ave ghetto, which is the best spot for late food in the Bay.
This place is amazing! We were going to go to gypsys next door but it was packed so we took a risk on this place even though it had no reviews and we were so happy we did.
The food was so tasty and definitely quality. It is much more than just a pita gyros place, the platter comes with tons of things! I love greek/Mediterranean food but it can be hard to find good places in that category so I’m glad we found this place!
The food and staff are phenomenal! This restaurant is a hidden treasure with a warm, homey atmosphere and great food. The staff are always very friendly and if you come by enough, you will be like family!
