I have been taking my 04 Silverado to Cain Automotive for years. I have worked with Charlie and now JR. Both do outstanding work. Fair prices, everything gets fixed. Thank you!
If i could give them 1,000 stars i would. This crew is absolutely amazing!!! They explained everything in a way that you can understand, the price was very reasonable and great service!!!
Love these guys! Great prices, super friendly. They always go the extra mile for us!
Cain automotive was quick and efficient with getting our inspection done. Very friendly staff and we just moved to the area and all of our car maintenance will be done through Cain automotive. I'm happy to find a place to take my vehicle we're I won't be nickel and dimed or my time isn't valued.
Have been with Cain Automotive for over 20 years and have always been happy with service and fair cost of service.
Sent my truck in for an inspection last year and there were a couple known issues, they fixed them at the going rate and even fixed an exhaust leak for me at no cost. Took my truck back this year for an inspection they did it timely and had the truck back to me. Never had an issue of upselling or trying to find issues. Highly recommended for the Enola Area.
Requested a quote on some work that needed done on my vehicle. They said they were going to call me, but never did. Waited about 2 weeks due to holidays, stopped in to check on the quote. All to find out, they didn't work up a price. Was told they were going to call again but big shocker didn't receive anything.
younger burly guy with reddish beard is a SCAMMER 100% verified by knowledgeable local mechanics.
Took mine in for a brake pad swap on one wheel because i don't have all the tools right now
from beginning to end it was a young guy, on the burly side, with a long reddish beard. I can't speak for Caine himself, only the employee.
i get called back 2 hours later and they try to upsell me an additional 250 in new complications as if i hadn't already thoroughly inspected the brakes and had it seen by another mechanic.
After i refused and asked for just the pad swap they called back 30 minutes later saying they couldn't replace the pad unless i paid 250 for the rest due to a caliper problem; when they already charged 75 on top of the brake pads (which they charged 70 for) totalling 160 when it's around a 1 hour procedure max for a professional.
I live in a poor neighborhood, people can't afford these scams. I asked around at a few local mechanics and found that my story about Caine's was a common one.
I purchased brake pads for 30 dollars at autozone, and later I was recommended to Deimler in enola and went there. They changed my pads in 35 minutes flat for 68 dollars without running into any of the problems that the guy at Caine's tried to sell me on (and the caliper was FINE). I can't recommend them enough, my total for service and pads together was just under 100.
My advice to Caine's (or more specifically that one employee, i can't blame the shop owner) is to stop trying to rip people off, it's a hard world and nobody in this town has the money. Not to mention that's just bad business.
