I'm so disappointed in this location. It is brand new and already serving low quality shredded lettuce in their meals. I have eaten at Cafe Rio for years and know that their pork salad are like. This is probably the third time now i have seen this type of lettuce served up at this location. Did cafe rio run out of their regular lettuce and buy some from the pet shop next door? This is beyond frustrating paying this price and seeing corners cut.
Dissapointed you get virtually no lettuce with your burrito now. The tiny bit of lettuce I did get was soggy. That’s disgusting . The quality is why I used to come here . Been a favorite for years . No longer . Don’t take away a good thing with the lettuce
Cafe rio please do better. I ordered a tostada and the dressing cup is half way filled. It’s not that hard. Cafe rio used to be so good and the quality and service has gone down so much. Getting jersey mikes from here on out
I feel like cafe Rio is going downhill based on the portion sizes and quality of food. I got the steak salad and there was a lot less steak than I get normally. And the lettuce is weird lately.
I have been going to cafe rio for 20 years but we all know it has gone downhill for the last few years. However I think it has reached a new low. The last two times I order a salad it was basically inedible. The lettuce could not be considered lettuce- it’s just wet, mushy green stuff. Then “sweet pork” was flavorless and fatty and stringy. It is not worth your time or money. There are so many better options.
I have been to this location several times in the last few months. Every time I come they don’t have something in stock, the tres leche, the toppings to the tres leche and today an hour before close rice and grilled meats. I left. It shows a lack of preparation by the staff or poor management to basically turn away business by not offering the guest to wait for them to prepare the food. If it’s out of stock then management should be reaching out to other locations to get in back in stock. It’s really disappointing every visit I can’t have something. Today I had enough a dessert I can pass on but rice and the protein are a large impact to the quality of the meal.
I seriously love this place. It's my number one place to come for dinner and lunch. I love their salad it's one of my favorite things to get. The employees are so nice and the food is so delicious and well made. I like this place better than the Mexican restaurant across the street.
I thought my food would be similar to whats shown in their videos. I ordered the same things but it looks nothing like what is advertised. I spent $25 for 2 meals and had 4 add ons but only received 2 containers with a teaspoon of sour cream for .59 cents each. No quacamole for $1.59, no cheese for $1.50. My tosdada was what looked to be a small soggy taco sized tortilla not the big one that fills the whole bowl on their videos. The cilantro was a tiny tree. The whole meal was overpriced soggy and bland. My husbands enchilada tortillas werent even cooked. This meal was trashed. Won't be going back.
