This was my first time at Cafe Jordano. I visited on a Friday night, so there was a 30-minute wait. The wait went by quickly. Once seated, our server attended to us right away. Our service was quick and attentive, and the food arrived with very little wait. The food was excellent with good-sized portions. I will definitely eat here again.
Great Italian restaurant with generous portions and tasty food. Fairly priced options with a good variety. Went on a Saturday night and the wait was about 30 minutes. Service is friendly and efficient. Menu could be explained a bit more for first timers. Will be coming back.
Tonight's visit was our first time and it was absolutely amazing! This is such a hidden gem that we will come back again and again and again... The food was the most delicious Italian food that my wife and I have ever had but it didn't stop there. The service was top notch as well. They really know how to make you feel like family at the moment you walk in the door. Our server, Paul, was so efficient and kind. Even Elisa, the owner, took the time to show us what true hospitality looks like. So grateful to have experienced this, one of many to come, special evening at Cafe Jordano.
Location: Nestled in the heart of Lakewood. Lots of free parking at this strip mall.
Food: Jordano offers an authentic Italian dining experience that tantalizes the taste buds and warms the soul. Let's start with the sauces – the heart and soul of any Italian meal. The red sauce, rich with the perfect balance of tomatoes and herbs, (not too acidic) transported me to the cobblestone streets of Rome with each savory bite. Equally impressive was the white sauce, creamy and heavy (in a good way), with a hint of garlic that danced on the palate. The sauces were KING and elevated each dish.
Eggplant was lightly breaded and sliced very thin. Served with a side of spaghetti. REALLY appreciate the vegetarian selection and that they marked it on the menu so it was easy to find.
Lobster ravioli was a delight. Not too “fishy” and a good sized portion.
Bonus- each meal had the choice of a small soup or salad + breadsticks. It’s thoughtful freebies/ inclusions like this that help elevate the meal.
Service: attentive and friendly- although I think she could have known more about the menu and mixed drinks (she said she hadn’t tried many of the things we asked about).
Buon appetito! We will be coming back!
We stopped in for dinner while visiting a friend in Lakewood. We had a variety of meals, Lasagna, Ravioli and Spainch special. Both meals came with a side. We got a soup and salad and all of our meals were delicious and cooked to perfection.
They are located in stripped mall, however the inside is nicely decorated and the place was crowded on Thursday evening. The staff was very friendly and very attentive.
Overall we had an excellent dining experience. We will be back on our next visit to the area.
Went here with a party of 12 and had a great time. Waiter did a good job separating checks as we requested and food came out quick. Food was really good but just wasnt amazing. It’s located in a strip mall so it doesn’t have any upscale vibe to it. Prices were reasonable, 20$ per entree basically. Would recommend.
I can't believe it's taken me this long to eat here. Everything about this place was amazing. Best Italian food in Denver Metro area. Service from beginning to end was second to none!
All i can say is just go and enjoy the experience!
So many people seem to love this place, so I feel like I may just be an anomaly. But please, if nothing else, look at my photos and see if you recognize lasagna and ravioli.
Seriously, everything is just swimming in red sauce. It's almost a soup. On top is half-melted shredded cheese that looks like it was microwaved. I couldn't distinguish any layers of pasta, let alone taste it. Just a big hunk of what appeared to be meatloaf.
This was not lasagna.
The ravioli was literally under a pool of sauce. You couldn't even see the pasta, but rather had to fish for it. This is not what ravioli is supposed to be.
The calamari appetizer was so overcooked and rubbery, it was like chewing gum.
Minestrone soup was weirdly salty.
The server was nice. Atmosphere was okay. It's in a strip mall
Honestly, this feels like a restaurant that was once a shining star, but has just given up on what inspired the original chef.
There must be some good Italian food in Colorado, but this ain't it.
