Yes, I did 5 stars. No, it's not my usual places to stay. But, the lady who owns it had just got back from a trip, hadn't had time to check everything and took the time to do so when My sister and I stopped by. It's not a perfect place, nothing fancy but it just works!. It's close to all the summer activities. We were just tired, and had a green night sleep,in a very clean,comfortable place. You will feel comfortable bringing your kids. And it might not be fancy,but I'd pick clean over anything, and it's clean. Also it's the owner, like seeing a friend you haven't seen in a while. I'd stay again. And I'm pretty sure it's the only hotel for 30 or 40 miles.lol
We have stayed here for years. Linda has gradually renovated and redecorated each room. She is undoubtedly the nicest owner I have ever seen. Have pets? No problem. The new air conditioners are so quiet you won't even know they are running except for the cold air coming out.
Twilight Zone + Hills have eyes + human centipede with a dash of more messed up. I traveled the nation working for 10 years staying 1 to 4 months any where from The Bronx Miami Montana Vegas where there is literally a community of people that live in the sewer under the street . Also renting and buying houses in Texas Tennessee Arkansas (where i was born and raised) and not any experience in my travels or personal life compared to the 8 months I was there. My faith in humanity will never be restored after. I tried to benefit of the doubt every situation that occurred and failed to do my research until it was to late. If you have seen don't f@#!÷ with cats you will get this . Don't f÷@# with the bi$#! Running that establishment or any other business or residence. If you find yourself in a bad spot like I did and not being many rentals open these days please do not settle. You are better off doing literally anything. " oh I stayed there and everything was fine maybe a little out dated". Was it because there was audio video recording that someone had hooked up without my knowledge at the property I was renting. That unfortunately doesn't even scratch the surface on issues that happened and sadly still going on as I am currently trying to relocate as quickly as possible. Do your research. If you just really want to get kicked in the junk and someone cra in your mouth and then point and laugh. Well come on down and reserve your spot in line with the management at the motel. You have been warned.
Hubby and I planned a week of crystal digging and needed a clean and affordable place to stay. Happened across the Caddo River Motel during my search of the area. Called, spoke to Linda. The very busy but extremely friendly lady who runs the hotel. She patiently answered my questions.
The room was simple but very VERY clean. The property was nicely maintained. Lots of outside sitting. And even a grill with picnic tables. Linda was helpful in recommending places to eat.( I highly recommend the Fish Nest!) She kept us supplied in clean towels and anything else we might have needed. The one small issue we had with a very loud guest was dealt with immediately. We will be staying there every time we get crystal fever!
The room is sort of shabby chic, but also spotlessly clean. The bedding smelled sweet and the pillows were the right amount of comfort. The shower had a built in seat so I could shave my legs, which was a bonus...Linda is hard working and great at getting you in your room quickly...which is appreciated after a long drive. I was going to the Diamond Park and it was perfect so I didn't have to take the long way around to get a room. There is nothing better than clean bedding at the end of a long day...Glad you were there.
This is our favorite place to stay when we visit Arkansas! The gorgeous view, calming atmosphere, and amazing service are just a few of the reasons we stay here, but Linda tops it all. She's extremely welcoming and happy to help you in any way she can. Clean, cozy rooms with plenty of space for a family. I can't recommend this place enough! Rates are extremely affordable!
My wife and children and myself have stayed here numerous times, Ms. Linda is an awesome host and always makes you feel welcome
She is so helpful and is always giving out information on where the best places to eat, the hardware store or whatever you may need. The rooms are always top notch very cozy, and the bed's are so comfortable the only place I sleep as good as I do at home. We look forward to many more stays in years to come, in my opinion this is the only place I will stay in Arkansas. Also she has a friend who works there and helps around the motel and she is top notch as well. If you can't tell this is my favorite place on earth. Thanks Linda for the great hospitality.
I'd give this place 10 stars if I could.
I called in advance to ask questions, and Linda was SOO welcoming on the phone..even though she was busy as a bee.
Once we got here, Linda was STILL busy, but you'd think you was coming to stay with family because she was still very welcoming, you could just hug her.????
This is the type of place I'll come back to every time I'm in town.
Beyond reasonable rates & Very clean rooms & The Shower was AMAZING!!
