Best WLM Reviews
My food was good. I had lobster and crawfish broil. Two complaints I had the crawfish were too small, and the lobster was slightly overcooked, but it was season so well. I didn't care l o l. As far as the fish basket, do not get it,
This is a secret about which I am glad someone told me. It's your basic sandwich shop: walk up counter, order for take out or dine in. The place is nice and the seating is all booths.
BUT, the best part is ALL the other stuff which is available. King crab, blue crab, shrimp, boiled (in crab boil) sausage - corn - potatos... On and on. It smells so good in there it makes me want to work there.
Also, I go about once every 2 weeks for a take out shrimp Po boy. It's delicious and is ready in 5 minutes or less every time. Astounding.
It was only so so, but not bad since we are out of towners. Seafood and sauce is supposed to be above and beyond since it’s Louisiana? But nothing special
First time here, staff was very friendly. I ordered a roast beef po'boy dressed with gravy. The po'boy had really nice bread they were very generous with the roast beef which is a surprise since some stores have cut back because of high meat prices. The issues I had with the po' boy: the gravy was more like a gel the tomatoes were a little too thick and the lettuce was cut like it could go in a salad.
This was our first and last time in here, the food was amazing, however the service was ummmm the friendless! Not the black girl, she was awesome.
Excellent crawfish. Like, "burn your lips" spicy. A little expensive and small but the prices are the prices this season.
This place has one of the best gumbo I have ever eaten! I’m not local though, we were visiting Nola and we googled it a gumbo location near by and this one popped up and let me tell you, YUMMY!!!!
***adding** the fried rice!!! You gotta try the fried rice!!
I am new to New Orleans and was getting my car fixed across the street at Smiling Chuck’s and Chuck recommended C&A to grab a bite while I wait. He said it was great food and I wasn’t disappointed!!! I brought home some gumbo and shrimp etouffee and it was incredible!!!!
