Rick is a fantastic mechanic. Brought my 6.0 in to be “bulletproofed”. After a pre diagnostic he gave me a fair price and stuck with it. We did a few extras but I as noted upfront along with the cost. My 6.0 has never run this good. Thanks Rick ????
If you have to get your truck worked on, it's expensive. But what you can get is value! Busted Nut will give you more than your money's worth!! My truck was a puzzle and Rick was tenacious. He went above and beyond to get us back on the road.
We were camping when my truck starting having trouble. Being from out of town we weren’t sure where to go. Gave Busted Nut Diesel a chance and boy did they over deliver! Rick was amazing. He was able to take my truck in with no appointment and diagnose and repair it within 2 days. My truck is now running great and we can enjoy the rest of our camping. After a dreaded breakdown during our trip i had my 2007 6.0 Outlaw towed here. Am I thankful I found them! Rick was really incredible and I've travelled all over. It's rare to find a small family owned business that operates with honesty and fair prices! This shop knows diesel trucks. Rick got my no start issue diagnosed and replaced the stand pipes and dummy plugs. I would never hesitate to either recommend this shop or use them again. Busted Nut is Top Drawer! Called about a starting issue on my 2001 F250, after spending $425 on batteries I called BN talked to Rick he was up front on what they would do. After picking my truck up it’s never started this easy! Past 3 years I’ve had to plug it up when Temperatures got below 35. Top notch people honest and price was fare!
I always wait a few months after a service to leave a review so here it is. They got to my truck within 48 hours of contacting them, diagnosed the problem the following day (lift pump and added a spe disaster prevention kit) and had it back to me two days later and I’ve yet to have a single issue out of it. Could I have gotten it done cheaper elsewhere? Possibly.. could I have gotten a better quality job done? Absolutely not… 100% recommend to anybody that respects what good mechanics are worth.
I went to these folks because I had a bad cold start issue. They did a diagnostic and found that my fuel injection
control module and four injectors were not firing properly during a cold start. They also let me know that my 6.0 had not been bulletproofed, even though the family member i bought the truck from told me it had ( my family member had been lied to when they purchased it). They quoted me a price on repair plus the bulletproof upgrades I needed to get back to good running condition. I told them to go ahead with everything. They did it all in a timely manner and communicated with me every step of the process. It's obvious when you first meet them that they take pride in ownership of their family owned business, from how they put things in terms you can understand, to the repairs, to how clean and in order everything in their shop was. You could eat off the floors they were so clean. Pride in ownership always equals pride in work. Needless to say I am very pleased with the work and would highly recommend them for any diesel repair you may need. Michael Coffman
So, this Mom & Pop shop is off the charts for awesomeness! Very reasonable price for a full vehicle pre-purchase inspection that is about as thorough as I've ever experienced. On top of that the repairs needed were broken down into most to least needed (very helpful if on a budget). They were even willing to install a part I already had as they needed to remove the old part to access another repair, all without added charges.
