My Mom and I ate at Burnt Knuckles for lunch and the food was very good. They have daily lunch specials or a menu. I had fried catfish, okra, and broccoli casserole from the lunch menu. The broccoli casserole was excellent. The catfish was lightly breaded and cooked just right. My Mom had brisket burnt ends, onion rings, and a salad. Our server was very friendly and the food came out pretty quick. I will definitely eat here again.
Great hometown/diner feel. The restaurant was clean and our server was pleasant and attentive. I ordered a cheeseburger with French fries and my husband ordered the burnt knuckle sandwich and he said it was delicious! Everything came out fresh and hot. They make their own ranch dressing and bbq sauce which we’re both fantastic.
Yuck! We thought we would look past the off-putting name and try our luck. I guess our luck had run out. We knew we were in trouble when a lady at the next table complained about her chicken and sent it back. We thought we would try the brisket burnt ends. What a mistake. 50% of the little spam like chunks were fat. The rest, gristle. This in no way resembles actual brisket. It's more like little dog food cubes. Don't just drive by this place, don't even glance at it!
Casual is an understatement when describing the ambiance here. As I always like to do when eating at a small town eatery, I checked the health rating - 94, so far so good. The place was spotlessly clean, not a spot of crumbs or any other signs of untidiness.
This is a "sit wherever you like" restaurant so I grabbed a menu and headed to a table. I was quickly greeted by a friendly and smiling waitress. The staff seemed to genuinely enjoy working there, this is always a big deal with me, as a happy staff makes a place more enjoyable. So far, the small town eatery vide is intact.
I was REALLY in the mood for country fried steak and not wanting to drive 20+ miles to a well known chain, so I looked this place up and found they had it. Perusing the menu, I found just good ole' country eats. I ordered the steak, mashed potatoes with the same white gravy as the steak, and pintos. First, the steak cut with a fork, I was pleased so far. The first bite of everything was taken with apprehension and a fear of over use of salt. Happily, everything was spiced and cooked perfectly. I really enjoyed my meal and the overall experience. I have a new favorite eatery within 7 miles of home.
They have great wings and loaded baked potato. Also, I love that their wait staff all work together, our drinks are never empty!????
10/10 on everything here we’ve tried so far. The price you CANNOT beat. My son and I each got a drink a meal and desserts for only $20!! Nothing like a homemade country restaurant like Burnt Knuckles i’m so glad Arab has a place like this
Food was excellent, portions were plentiful and service was on top of things
I like to order the large ribeye because it is thicker and easier to cook medium rare. I probably eat two a week. It pairs very well with their side salad.
Their meat-and-2/3 daily specials are very tasty. I like the potato salad because it is Handmade in-house, and so is not your usual mustard potato salad with tiny cubes of potato. My wife likes to have their broccoli-rice casserole. Usually I am quick enough to get a bite, But not always. Sugar-free chocolate pie for dessert, and I am good to go.
