Simple place with basic interiors with decent food. Serves Somalian and is very popular with the locals. I liked the food here for breakfast. Had something that resembles a dosa ( crepe ) with a variety of curries for 12$

The food was decent. Had chicken plate with rice and spaghetti. If you ordered delivery you’d never know. The place itself smelled like a sewer. Like rotten sewage.
The restaurant offers a delightful dinning experience with it's delicious food and a very welcoming atmosphere.
So I was craving Somali food and decided to try out this little place I found through a Google search. Let me start by saying it's definitely a typical "hole in the wall" kind of spot, so don't expect anything fancy here. Now, when it comes to Somali food, I have certain expectations. There's good Somali food and then there's just okay Somali food. Unfortunately, this place falls into the "just okay" category.
The food was hot, I'll give them that, but the flavor was lacking, especially in the rice and pasta dishes. I was hoping for those authentic Somali spices and vibrant flavors, but they seemed to be missing. It felt more like a quick food spot for busy people rather than a true representation of the deliciousness of Somali cuisine.
One thing I should mention is that there are language barriers, so be prepared to exercise some patience. Communication may not be the smoothest, but the staff does their best. Overall, it was an okay experience. If you're in a rush and looking for a quick bite, it might suffice. However, if you're craving truly flavorful and authentic Somali food, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.
The food is always delicious, fresh, and prepared with care. Very generous portions with reasonable prices. The chefs and servers always treat you with respect and do everything to make you feel welcomed and appreciated. They are happy to explain the food options available. The bread is always perfect and fluffy/sweet. Tea (3-4 varieties) is included with your meal. A true hole in the wall with less than stellar interior decoration, a real hidden gem in every way possible. Easily the most unique restaurant in the city with the most heart. I love this place and the people there.
